In the linear state, there are timelines and space coordinates. In the non-linear state, there are not — which is why it is called chaos. The non-linear state is also called the Absolute, the Void, and the Present Moment Frequency. This is the underlying chaos, the creation force of all possibilities, the Essence. Personal chaos, on the other hand, is an unskilled reaction by the conditioned mind to what it interprets as stressors, a resistance to the underlying chaos, alleviated by aligning with Essence. After publishing my spin on chaos, while waiting in the Lisbon airport for our scheduled connecting flight to JFK and on to SFO, an announcement was made that due to the snowstorm, New York was closed. What followed could easily fit the common definition and popular understanding of chaos: CHAOS complete disorder and confusion. "snow caused chaos in the region" SYNONYMS: disorder, disarray, disorganization, confusion, mayhem, bedlam, pandemonium, havoc, turmoil, tumult, commotion, disruption, upheaval, uproar, maelstrom; PHYSICS behavior so unpredictable as to appear random, owing to great sensitivity to small changes in conditions. the formless matter supposed to have existed before the creation of the universe. late 15th century (denoting a gaping void or chasm, later formless primordial matter): via French and Latin from Greek khaos ‘vast chasm, void.’ ... Yes, I'd say the events following the announcement of the flight cancellation fit the first lines of this definition perfectly, as more than two hundred travelers realized they would miss their connections, etc. The ominous unknown settled in. For Kati and me it was not at first so stressful. When a super deal appeared in the air fares for the next day, we made our decision to fly spontaneously from the Azores. No one on the other end knew we were coming. We had no job to go to, no one waiting for us, certainly it was not a 'life or death' situation. But stress did creep in as the events in the airport progressed. Being empaths, and tired from the continuing stresses of the past days and weeks, we picked up the chaos of the people. On the edge of our physical limits for endurance, our personalities only wanted to rest, but we could not. Later, in Heathrow, we felt stress when my money belt was lost and we nearly missed our connecting flight. In Lisbon, the Portuguese airline employees were confused. The people pressing in on them demanded information they did not yet have. In one example, a tall TAP airline representative told those pressing, 'I have already called the names from the list.' Angry, confused passengers retorted, 'But I did not hear you calling.' I said to one, 'It is a matter of language. I think he does not realize he is speaking in the past tense.' One woman caught up with him and asked, 'Do you mean you have called, or you will call?' 'Oh,' he said, 'I will call. I am sorry.' Well, to make the story shorter, it got sorted out eventually. About ten hours later, after midnight, Kati and I were in a hotel room in the Lisbon city center. We were up again by 5 a.m. to catch the bus back to the airport. TAP airlines re-routed us to London, and then onto a direct flight to San Francisco. As it happened, it was quite a nice upgrade and our first flight on Virgin Atlantic. The wide-bodied Boeing flew with such grace it was as though we were in a time shuttle, arching over the Arctic Circle. The cabin crew served passengers as though we were all first class. The reader, who chooses to remain anonymous, responded to my post reflecting on her chaos comments, 'Here’s the thing….perhaps I used the word “chaos” too loosely. 'My interpretation of the word “chaos” is that chaos is the essence of our universe interacting with itself in a Yin & Yang sort of way. Always present, always moving, always changing, always breathing as unpredictable energy. We contribute to its existence both consciously and unconsciously. What we choose to focus on, what we do with our perception of it ultimately determines how our day will unfold and how we relate to and affect the universe. My interpretation could be total BS but it is mine and it is comforting to me to think that what I do on a daily basis could hopefully have a positive affect on someone or something somewhere. My personal “butterfly effect”. 'It is mostly an emotional response not a rational one. I would like to think that we have the ability to change the coarse of chaos by harnessing our own personal energy and putting it to good use. The stuff that is uncomfortable can be navigated through, not by avoiding the discomfort but by recognizing it, embracing it, having compassion for it and putting positive assertive energy back into it. I don’t think we can grow if we don’t experience, participate and contribute to the chaos by doing our part. 'Chaos isn’t only disorder and dysfunction, it is (to me) disorder, disruption, uncertainty, opportunity, change, hope and so much more. I previously mentioned to you that I am terrible with words so this is my feeble attempt to sound intelligent — I guess what I am attempting to say is that chaos absolutely exists. I think without it we would be unable to experience growth. It is our responsibility and should be our purpose to navigate it, flow with it, contribute to the good of it and change the course of the bad of it. If we get confused by it we need to take a closer look at it and re-calibrate — taking the time to step away from it and recharge as part of the on-going process. You can’t ignore it. Without quiet contemplation and self-reflection the constant barrage of chaos would be impossible to handle. As you mentioned — “living from the still-point” is where it should all begin — without that you wouldn’t be particularly productive....' Reflecting on the personal chaos in the airport, I see how it was another opportunity to experience growth and betterment. Not all passengers took it this way, of course. For most it was just another depleting stressor. Yet, each stressor can be taken as a reminder to be in the Now and a directional sign towards creating in the Flow. Though I once measured the success and satisfaction of my day by a feeling of productivity, I no longer have any desire to be productive. In Heathrow Airport, the theme of human ambition was prominent. I no longer have ambition, not even any personal goals, and it feels great! My days are of a higher quality when my attention is on the essential, not the mental. Chaos is a gift from life. We are tested by stressors to see what we are made of, and improve. A carbon fiber engineer I know tested parts of a prototype aircraft by applying stress to them and measuring how they behaved. His findings were used to improve the strength and stability of the wide bodied plane. He played a role in designing the Boeing jet which carried Kati and me across the Atlantic. This is a metaphor of turning stressors and chaos into opportunities for bettering oneself. The reader well expressed, 'chaos is the essence of our universe...' and this fits with the Google definition which says that in physics, chaos is 'the formless matter supposed to have existed before the creation of the universe, the vast chasm, the void.' Personal chaos could be seen as an unskilled reaction to the stressors which arise out of the formless void into the world of form. Heart Breathing and its Moving Meditation are a simple, effective way to develop the skills to meet the stressors of life with grace and strength, and bring betterment to ourselves as individuals and to our collective lives. Breath Awareness The Pineal Tones THE QUANTUM VACUUM: HOW ‘EMPTY’ SPACE IS ACTUALLY THE “SEAT OF THE MOST VIOLENT PHYSICS” A century from now, it will be well known that: the vacuum of space which fills the universe is itself the real substratum of the universe; vacuum in a circulating state becomes matter; the electron is the fundamental particle of matter and is a vortex of vacuum with a vacuum-less void at the center and it is dynamically stable; the speed of light relative to vacuum is the maximum speed that nature has provided and is an inherent property of the vacuum; vacuum is a subtle fluid unknown in material media; vacuum is mass-less, continuous, non viscous, and incompressible and is responsible for all the properties of matter; and that vacuum has always existed and will exist forever….Then scientists, engineers and philosophers will bend their heads in shame knowing that modern science ignored the vacuum in our chase to discover reality for more than a century. The quote above comes from Paramahamsa Tewari, Inventor of what’s called the Reactionless AC Synchronous Generator (RLG).
