The book, Boundless Awareness by Michael A. Rodriguez was recommended to me by a new friend with whom I felt an immediate heartfelt connection, himself the author of a book, Reality Unveiled. After reading the introduction, it was apparent that this is a book to share with others — with anyone having an interest in awakening, enlightening, or self-realizing. We are living in times when this elevation of awareness is more vital and essential than ever. Excerpts from the book will be shared in shorter posts for more digestible reading. Here is the first installment. BOUNDLESS AWARENESS by Michael A. Rodriguez CONTENTS 1 The Misery of Seeking 2 An Alternative Worldview 3 The Trance of Misidentification 4 The Power of Creative Awareness 5 Internal Poverty 6 The Most Intimate Poverty 7 Interdependence and Divine Vibration 8 Dream Yoga and Perception 9 Non-Dual Shadow Integration 10 The Miracle of Allowing INTRODUCTION 'We are living in an age of scientific materialism in which people are spiritually parched. Ours is largely a culture of material excess and spiritual impoverishment. It is dominated by an increasingly unhealthy reliance on alienating and dehumanizing modes of technology.... '....These are universal human concerns. To resolve any of them, you will need experiential insight into your true nature. When you inquire into your true nature through the lens of wisdom, you will come to see that all your confusion and discontent constellates around a false self that does not actually 'exist—or that exists relative to a deeper, more authentic self that is the true source of the timeless peace and contentment for which your heart longs. 'This source abides here and now if only you could be guided to see it in all its simplicity. This book is meant to guide you in that direction by addressing the core issue of false self-identification, not from the perspective of traditional "self-help," which often substantiates the false self that resides at the center of seeking, but from the perspective of a radically different sense of self that goes altogether beyond your conventional personal identity and limiting belief structures. 'The main claim of this book is that you are already boundless and free and that the entire misunderstanding of your true nature rests on a colossal yet simple error of limited self-identification; this error is rooted in the conceptual realm and becomes substantiated at the feeling level with minor to acute self-contractions in the forms of mental, emotional, and muscular tensions.... '.... However, when you investigate life closely with the singular eye of wisdom, you discover the following:
'The experiential insight into these truths could be called "awakening; "enlightenment," or "self-realization." You literally "wake up" to your infinite and eternal nature and discover your non-separation from all of life rather than sleepwalking through your days as a separate island of identity. To use the old analogy, you realize that you are the formless current of electricity rather than a separate light-bulb with its own source of light. I refer to awakening as a "discovery' to emphasize the fact that awakening fundamentally entails uncovering your inherent wholeness rather than adding something new onto yourself. 'In order to lead you into a firsthand realization of your essential wholeness and freedom, thereby eradicating or at least reducing the suffering associated with feeling otherwise, this book follows a methodical trajectory that could be summarized broadly as a process of deconstruction, reconstruction, and integration. Throughout this journey, the pointers in each chapter will help you systematically abolish the imaginary division between "inner" and "outer" experience and remove the irritating sense of psychological self-consciousness while retaining the healthy sense of self-awareness, leaving you in the natural state of "empty fullness...."' - pages 1 - 5 BOUNDLESS AWARENESS by Michael A.
