In the idea that life is more than biological are elements of scientific fact, science fiction and fantasy, sometimes blended together by individual minds. At times hard evidence and unfounded speculation are so well blended as to be nearly indistinguishable. In the end, does it matter, so long as awareness grows and ways are found of navigating. Over the past week, I am realizing more that what matters most to me are the essentials, such as first commitment to the Present Moment, freedom from fixed systems of thought, and the felt experience of myself as the One Being in divine duality. All else, especially in the arena of current events, is mere entertainment. I see my tendency still to get caught up at times, and carried away, even with my resolve to be emotionally neutral. Some reports are so compelling, they influence the soundest of minds. But unless the tanks are rolling over our front lawn, there is not longer news from me. My idea of staying emotionally neutral works, so long as I do. But biting on the bait of internet tabloid news is not neutral. Perhaps by two weeks from now, things will be more clear. Current events certainly feel unresolved to me at this time. I do have full trust and confidence that as a bottom line, all is well. At the same time, it doesn't hurt to be prepared for contingencies ('n. An event that may occur but that is not likely or intended; a possibility.') Posts read triggered memories of November 1963, when the death by assassination of President John F. Kennedy was announced on my grade school playground. Even at ten, I'd felt some connection with the awareness that he and I shared the same birthday. Interesting to me, though not necessarily significant, is the fact that the current American president also shares the Gemini sun sign. Speculation continues today on theories of who was behind the assassination, and I imagine similar speculation on current events may continue well into the future. But, does it all matter? What is essential to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness? I have found the essentials for me, and need only keep returning my mind to them, with diligence. Your thoughts, please. “The great revolution in the history of man, past, present and future, is the revolution of those determined to be free.” - John F. Kennedy (35th President of the United States) "Now the trumpet summons us again - not as a call to bear arms, though arms we need; not as a call to battle, though embattled we are; but a call to bear the burden of a long twilight struggle, year in and year out, 'rejoicing in hope, patient in tribulation', a struggle against the common enemies of man: tyranny, poverty, disease and war itself." - John F. Kennedy "Our way of life is under attack. Those who make themselves our enemy are advancing around the globe. The survival of our friends is in danger. And yet no war has been declared, no borders have been crossed by marching troops, no missiles have been fired." - John F. Kennedy “There are risks and costs to action. But they are far less than the long-range risks of comfortable inaction.” “As we express our gratitude, we must never forget that the highest appreciation is not to utter words, but to live by them.” “Change is the law of life. And those who look only to the past or present are certain to miss the future.” “We must use time as a tool, not as a couch.” “The greater our knowledge increases the more our ignorance unfolds.” “Forgive your enemies, but never forget their names.” “Mankind must put an end to war before war puts an end to mankind.” “The goal of education is the advancement of knowledge and the dissemination of truth.” “Things do not happen. Things are made to happen.” “Efforts and courage are not enough without purpose and direction.” “A man may die, nations may rise and fall, but an idea lives on.” “When power leads man toward arrogance, poetry reminds him of his limitations. When power narrows the area of man’s concern, poetry reminds him of the richness and diversity of existence. When power corrupts, poetry cleanses.” “Conformity is the jailer of freedom and the enemy of growth.” “Those who dare to fail miserably can achieve greatly.” “Ask not what your country can do for you… ask what you can do for your country.” “A nation reveals itself not only by the men it produces but also by the men it honours, the men it remembers.” “Our problems are man-made; therefore, they may be solved by man. No problem of human destiny is beyond human beings.” “Let us never negotiate out of fear. But let us never fear to negotiate.” “Those who make peaceful revolution impossible will make violent revolution inevitable.” “If a free society cannot help the many who are poor, it cannot save the few who are rich.” “The ignorance of one voter in a democracy impairs the security of all.” “Peace is a daily, a weekly, a monthly process, gradually changing opinions, slowly eroding old barriers, quietly building new structures.” “There is always inequality in life. Some men are killed in a war and some men are wounded and some men never leave the country. Life is unfair.” “Our progress as a nation can be no swifter than our progress in education. The human mind is our fundamental resource.” “The courage of life is often a less dramatic spectacle than the courage of a final moment; but it is no less a magnificent mixture of triumph and tragedy.” “The supreme reality of our time is the vulnerability of this planet.” “In giving rights to others which belong to them, we give rights to ourselves and to our country.” “Victory has a thousand fathers, but defeat is an orphan.” “World peace, like community peace, does not require that each man love his neighbour – it requires only that they live together with mutual tolerance, submitting their disputes to a just and peaceful settlement.” “The time to repair the roof is when the sun is shining.” “The great enemy of truth is very often not the lie – deliberate, contrived and dishonest – but the myth – persistent, persuasive, and unrealistic. Too often we hold fast to the clichés of our forebears. We subject all facts to a prefabricated set of interpretations. We enjoy the comfort of opinion without the discomfort of thought.” “It is an unfortunate fact that we can secure peace only by preparing for war.” “The unity of freedom has never relied on uniformity of opinion.” “The one unchangeable certainty is that nothing is unchangeable or certain.” Read more at: quotes by John F. Kennedy *** While the idea that John F. Kennedy, Jr. is speaking to patriots with the voice of Q is compelling, it is unfounded. John F. Kennedy, Jr. On July 16, 1999, Kennedy departed from Fairfield, New Jersey, at the controls of his Piper Saratoga light aircraft. He was traveling with his wife Carolyn and sister-in-law Lauren Bessette to attend the wedding of his cousin Rory Kennedy at Hyannis Port, Massachusetts after first dropping Lauren off in Martha's Vineyard.... but the plane never arrived. Officials were not hopeful about finding survivors after aircraft debris and a black suitcase belonging to Bessette were recovered from the Atlantic Ocean... On July 18, a Coast Guard admiral declared an end to hope that Kennedy, his wife and her sister could be found alive. On July 19, the fragments of Kennedy's plane were found by the NOAA vessel Rude using side-scan sonar. The next day, Navy divers descended into the 62 °F (17 °C) water. The divers found part of the shattered plane strewn over a broad area of seabed 120 feet (37 m) below the surface of the Atlantic Ocean. The search ended in the late afternoon of July 21, when the three bodies were recovered from the ocean floor by Navy divers and taken by motorcade to the county medical examiner's office. The discovery was made from high-resolution images of the ocean bottom. Divers found Carolyn and Lauren's bodies near the twisted and broken fuselage while Kennedy's body was still strapped into the pilot's seat. Admiral Richard M. Larrabee of the Coast Guard said that all three bodies were "near and under" the fuselage, still strapped in. - Wikipedia May John Jr. rest in peace. COMMENTS Mark Mares I have no idea what this has to do with spiritual stuff.. and was far too long to read.. Gary When was the spiritual separated from everyday life? Yes, this group is focused on spirituality, and yes, the post focuses on current events. But its scope is much broader for those who take time to read. Not saying you should, that is individual choice. My posts tend to be long despite my best efforts to keep them shorter. But it is without apology. No one is forced to read. Many have read this post, across many spiritual groups, and their comments altogether are nearly as long as the post. Many are very thoughtful and it is clear they benefitted from and appreciated my long writing. I appreciate the admin who accepted my submission. Best regards. Fadey Bariziga-Orage Hmmmmmm....... I love this.... To think there's so little that we know. That former president just pointed out happenings from the future that are finding fulfillment even now. And more are coming...... It's so sad he had to die. May his legacy live on.....✊✊ Gary MacDougall I think it's perfectly normal to feel a whole range of emotions during these challenging times. Remaining neutral sounds teetering on emotional or spiritual bypassing. I don't think we need to get caught up in the bread and circuses but we are in a predicament where we consume and pollute the planet at a faster rate than it produces. That won't end well. Also, I think we should remember BIPOC when we consider equality issues. Many suffer and are expired while we enjoy incredible privilege. Gary Smith While seeing your perspective and appreciating it, the comments below it from Carolyn Thompson and her respondents illustrate what I mean about the choice to remain emotionally neutral and coming to no conclusions. Like the commenters, I have been caught up in emotional reactions to the events. Later, I realized those reactions steered me into incomplete perspectives. Emotionally neutral can be spiritually engaged. Also, being emotionally reactive may be normal, but is not necessarily useful. Humanity, in my eyes, is ripe for some new norms. I don't know what BIPOC is but recognize your last sentence, which hit home yesterday when I offered to send something by mail to Nigeria and learned they have no mail service, neither does the young man have an address. Carolyn Thompson Gary R. Smith I removed my opinion due to the rude comments replied to me... I remain in the middle and wish for people to calm down and not to believe everything they read, especially on this format. I studied propaganda and went in to advertising for years... I can see through so many "presentations" where they lack, what they are promoting, where they are adding BS or skipping facts. There is a true pattern that is followed and as such it commands people to respond emotionally and not encouraging them to research or think. These are some wild months and the chaos is now in a fever pitch.... Gary I agree with that assessment and aim to bring in perspectives from all angles, whether I agree with them or not. That tests my ability to remain emotionally neutral and open minded, with compassion for all. Yes, this group is not really a place for any political discussion. I knew my post would be controversial and submitted it with some trepidation -- not wanting to inconvenience admins, especially. It is an unusual focus for my writing. But when a person really reads it, they see that its scope is much broader than current events. Gary It is a dilemma, to sort facts from fiction in these events. I expended considerable energy in the early months, until I realized the rabbit hole and let it go. Now, as my post says, I keep bringing my mind back to the essentials, which is also more what this group is about. Thank you for your response. Carolyn Thompson I see that all sides, in this particular drama have partials.... no one side is all truth, but that their rhetoric is riddled and flawed, sometimes very minimal and other times deeply. so it it much like a zig-zag dance and very interesting to see what occurs next as it is hard to predict, yet the outcome could very well be very beneficial!!! Andrew Karras Wlliam Peters it's ok, Carolyn watches and believes the media, thinks it is all true. We are so close to the truth coming out and will soon realize how they are actually fighting the evil and lies. No matter how hard we try, we can't wake them up. Only the proof that is coming will. She will be back to apologize when all is exposed. Gioia Voice Dear Gary, I understand your moment...and your questions....maybe what I feel you may let go of....is the past "heroes", and the past in general, because those experiences was need THEN by humankind, while in this present something else is needed, and that first of all to change the sentence you paraphrased: "Forgive your enemies, but never forget their names."....something that was necessary to stay awake....in the worlds separation game, because we had to remember in order to try not to repeat what was done to us, to earth....we had to know "our enemy" in this game...to avoid falling to sleep in the mindgames that were continously played on us. When my anunaki.stephmother asked me when I was 18 if i remembered my childhood, ( full of games to destroy my integrity) I didn t answer with words, but let my eyes tell her that I remembered, and continued for many years to be the onlyone in my family to remember....what I had witnessed, and to work through these experiences with my light and love till I was free of them, offering this inner freedom to all who were ready for these frequencies. Only when all experiences were seen and love did I recieve the permission from my Self to forget the names....and that is what we are recieving now . We will see all the horror we have CO-CREATED and we will have to EMBRACE it ALL as a CO-CREATION and then we are free to forget the names.....and to create new life side by side with those ho acted "against us" to awaken us to our inner freedom and inner strength and our eternity. ❤ Gioia Gary Gioia, you wrote, "maybe what I feel you may let go of....is the past "heroes", and the past in general, because those experiences was need THEN by humankind, while in this present something else is needed, and that first of all to change the sentence you paraphrased: "Forgive your enemies, but never forget their names.".... JFK was a hero to many, and a beloved U.S. president. I appreciate his qualities of strength and have compassion for his weaknesses. But I don't consider him a hero to me, as I long have let go of heroes. The words you call my paraphrase were his words. No one can say what JFK meant by what he said, besides JFK. To me, his call to forgive our enemies but not forget their names means to let go of emotional attachments to wrongdoing, but remain diligent to set appropriate boundaries. "continued for many years to be the onlyone in my family to remember....what I had witnessed, and to work through these experiences with my light and love till I was free of them, offering this inner freedom to all who were ready for these frequencies." Yes, and that feels true also to JFKs words. "Only when all experiences were seen and love did I recieve the permission from my Self to forget the names....and that is what we are recieving now." Yes, there comes a time also for forgetting the names, and releasing it all to Source, or whatever term one uses. Yet as you said, paraphrased, a certain alertness with confidence not fear, remains. "....then we are free to forget the names.....and to create new life side by side with those who acted "against us" to awaken us to our inner freedom and inner strength and our eternity." Yes, that may happen. Victoria Marie Chisham (commented with this link) https://youtu.be/5nvqvvsqJ_s Gary Victoria Marie Chisham I subscribed to Epoch Times until I realized their reporting was biased and unreliable. Perhaps they've changed, or I have. After watching this 12 minute interview with an independent Japanese journalist who analyzed the Capital Hill incident, I cannot fault it. Certainly the journalist, interviewer and interviewed, come across as truth seeking. I recommend the video for any who feel drawn to understand events at this level. Analysis of Ashli Babbit Video Suggests Coordinated Actions—Interview W. Masako Ganaha | Crossroads COMMENTS
[I've seen those reports of Africans taking slaves and Indigenous people Of Turtle Island doing the same. My understanding of it was it was there way of a legal system. If someone wasn't pulling their own in their community they would be shared as a slave or set off on their own outside of their community. ] My understanding of it is limited. Do you happen to know the historical accuracy of the movies Amistad and Last King of Scotland? I don't, though am sure there is creative license. In Amistad, based on true events, the shipload of slaves was eventually set free by the courts of America. The protagonist returned to Africa and died a slave of a neighboring tribe. Just a few miles from us is a large and prosperous casino. I don't know anything, really, about the workings of it, but loosely understand that the State gives casinos to indigenous tribes. Ironic, isn't it. Anyway, I do know that a few years ago, factions in the tribe fought each other over casino money, which came to physical violence. Because firearms were involved, the federal government stepped in. The casino is wealthy, supposedly that goes to the indigenous people, yet I've been in their community and it is below poverty level. I have no explanation or speculation. I heard that some land thought to be sacred to indigenous people was given back to them in Washington state. There was expectation they would respect and honor the land, which was disappointed when the tribe sold the lumber rights. I don't know the details and don't judge. Just saying, there is more than one side to every story, and each including the beauty you've witnessed, has aspects that are valid. But until all angles are considered impartially, a complete picture cannot be formed. A story more from your perspective comes from my experience in the river canyon country of the Idaho wilderness. The indigenous people who lived in the canyons for thousands of years called themselves People of the Sun. They were destroyed by U.S. military during the gold rush. It grieves my heart. I just woke up from sleep at 3, am going back to sleep and will continue this later....
