Mt. Shasta, California’s highest volcano, has been seen as a spiritual and paranormal epicenter for a while, popularized in the Western consciousness with the help of books like Frederick Spencer Oliver’s A Dweller on Two Planets, which claims that survivors from the sunken continent of Lemuria have made Mt. Shasta their home. He speaks of a complex of tunnels underneath the mountains and of individuals occasionally surfacing in white robes. Published in 1904, Oliver attributes its contents to a certain “Phylos the Tibetan,” who, he claims, beginning in 1883, started to channel visions and mental dictations to him, which he set down in print through automatic writing. He writes of a highly advanced culture in Atlantis which achieved a great deal of scientific expertise, including the use of antigravity powered aircraft (which are intriguingly described as cigar-shaped, just as many modern UFOs are), wireless communication resembling telephones, atomic telescopes, televisions, and air conditioners. The book relates to spiritual subjects as well, such as reincarnation. Indeed, Phylos relates to Frederick that 19th century America is his final physical incarnation in the form of Walter Pierson, a gold miner who had visited Venus in his subtle body while his physical form remained in a temple inside the mountain itself. This book was followed by sequels An Earth Dweller’s Return (1940) and Atlantis Speaks Again (1960). Shortly after the publication of Oliver’s earlier manuscript, Harvey Spencer Lewis, writing under the pseudonym Wisar Spenle Cerve, published a book (through the Rosicrucians) about these Lemurians that would influence the beliefs of a large number of New Age spiritual movements, such as Church Universal and Triumphant, The Lemurian Fellowship, Kryon, the “I AM” Activity and The Summit Lighthouse. Intriguingly, in 1904, only a year prior to the manuscript’s publication in 1905 by his mother, six years after his death in 1899, a British prospector named J.C. Brown allegedly discovered a lost underground city beneath Mt. Shasta after being hired by Lord Cowdray Mining Company of England to search for gold. After allegedly discovering a cave that sloped downward for 11 miles, he found an underground village full of gold and mummies, some of whom were up to 10 feet tall (with the smallest being approximately 6.5 feet tall). He told this story to John C. Root 30 years later, who assembled about 80 explorers, but Brown was nowhere to be found. His tale is consistent with many Ancient Native American legends, which speak of a race of prehistoric giants who once inhabited the Pacific Coast of North America before being destroyed by a severe flood. Among the treasures Brown claimed to have found, he described as golden tablets and plates, all neatly inscribed with strange hieroglyphics and cuneiform writings, as well as spears which remembered their “shape” and returned to their original form, even after being bent to a considerable degree; a description that is eerily reminiscent of what many of those who have encountered fragments of alleged UFO craft have described, such as Major Jesse Marcel, one of the first officers to reach the Roswell wreckage, whose son also describes strange hieroglyphics on the metal. Many of those who believe that Mt. Shasta contains the lost continent of Lemuria, and its alleged capital city made of crystals, “Telos,” derive the name from a 19th-century zoologist who believed that lemurs had used this lost continent as a means of migrating from India to Madagascar (That’s right! Lemuria is named after lemurs). Many have described very tall figures either in a nearby town or piloting cloud-shaped UFOs. Somewhat recently, in 1987, an event now commonly referred to as the Harmonic Convergence cemented the mountain’s status as a destination for New Age spirituality (which had, incidentally, already been seen as sacred to the indigenous Winnemem Wintu tribe of the McCloud River area of Northern California; indeed, a large number of Native American tribes have frequented the area over the centuries). In recent times, the paranormal appeal and reputation of Mt. Shasta has become inextricably bound up with research into UFOs, extraterrestrials, interdimensional beings, and interdimensional portals. Perhaps most notably, in The Portals and UFOs of Mount Shasta, ufologist Grant Cameron links the appearance of tall, “Nordic” humanoids in Peru associated with the Rahma contactee protocols, with similar alleged alien encounters in Mt. Shasta. One such contactee, Ricardo Gonzalez, describes an extraterrestrial whom he says is named Antarel. This being was originally encountered in Peru by the Rahma contactees, and Ricardo says he has been led to believe that this alien is from Alpha Centauri. He describes the males as extremely tall, between 7.5 and 8 feet tall, with hair that is so light that it is almost platinum white. The hair is extremely fine, the eyes light brown and honey-colored, and the skin is pale white. The beings are thin and athletic in appearance and have a slightly pointed chin. These aliens claim to be from a planet called “Apu,” and are called “Apunians,” although one being, also associated with the Rahma encounters in Peru, named Oxalc, who also contacted Ricardo, stated he is from somewhere much further away, and currently resides on Ganymede, Jupiter’s largest moon, which Oxalc refers to as “Morlen.” In September of 1995, another Mt. Shasta incident linked with the Peru Rahma contact occurred with Dr. Joe V. and about 50 other people when a portal called a “xendra” (coined by Sixto Paz Wells and his brother) opened at the latter mountain and groups of 7 at a time were allowed to enter it. Cameron quotes Joseph Burkes’ description of the experience on his Facebook account: “United 747 pilot, Joe V. told me that the event occurred at night. The contact site used by Rama called ‘Shasta’ is located near a stream that runs through rolling hills that are several hundred feet high. After a light meal of fruit, the forty-plus Hispanic contact activists started chanting. ‘Ohm.’ Suddenly a faint violet-colored light appeared in the field just twenty yards away from where the group was standing in a circle some forty feet across. The hovering light was about 7 feet above the field. It quickly enlarged extending to the left and right forming a doorway-like structure made of violet light. Dr. (Fernando) Limaco explained that the group had just opened a dimensional portal and that in order to keep it materialized, the entire assembly needed to keep chanting. The senior Rama people then moved through the crowd instructing them to form seven groups of seven individuals. They were informed that they would have an opportunity to briefly enter the xendra to allow them to experience what it was like to stand in the teleportation device. Assurances were given that they would not leave the contact site. Over the next hour-seven groups of seven people were then instructed to go into the portal made of light and stand briefly in the xendra. Those in the xendra as well the crowd outside continued to chant ‘AUUUMMMM’ throughout the entire procedure. Captain Joe V.’s group was the last to be permitted to enter. At that point, people had been standing and chanting for several hours and were beginning to get fatigued. Captain Joe V. described the dimensional portal as being a tight space similar to an elevator. People had to crowd together to fit in. In the darkness the walls were indistinct; the only illumination being provided was from the faint purple light that formed the doorway. As soon as they entered the xendra the Rama activists noticed that there was a change in the sound of their chanting. Joe said it was muffled as if they were speaking underwater. He also found that there was a change in the way in which they moved while huddled together. Everything seemed to be slowed down. After a minute or two he and the others inside the portal noticed that the chanting from the crowd outside had become less vigorous. As the sound of their voices decreased, to the dismay of those inside the xendra, the violet light coming from the doorway started to fade. In addition, the walls of the elevator like structure in which they were standing became more indistinct. Joe told me that he didn’t know what would happen to them if the portal collapsed while they were still inside. He did not know and he was sure that he didn’t want to find out. Without exchanging a word, Captain Joe and his six companions chanted louder. To their relief, the violet light from the doorway became brighter and the walls of the claustrophobic space in which they stood became more solid. They emerged from the xendra with no ill effects. Joe told me that the entire group was enchanted by the experience.” Another important figure in the Mt. Shasta phenomenon goes by the pseudonym of Dr. Terri. Although she has only been to the location a couple of times, she is a living, telepathic “antenna” who receives messages from Antarel. In 2017, at one of these gatherings, she received a message from this figure for well-known ufologist Paola Harris, telling her that a programmed UFO sighting would occur on August 19, 2017, at 9:33pm. Following this was a series of light flashes that began over 130 people present at Mount Shasta Sand Flat. Grant Cameron details that she began to receive these messages in 1985 when she was a PhD student at Columbia University. She suddenly felt the urge to grab a piece of paper and she found herself writing “My name is Oxalc and I come from Morlen,” suggesting she was dealing with the same entity that those of both the Rahma contactee group in Peru encountered, as well as those in Mt. Shasta. A friend of hers would then tell her about Sixto Paz Wells, who had initially received communications from this being in the early 1970s, where she found herself entering into a xendra that had opened in the forest, along with Ricardo Gonzalez. It was at this time that she allegedly met Antarel from Morlen (Ganymede). But remote viewing data suggests that what is really going on at Mt. Shasta may not necessarily have anything to do with Theosophical or Rosicrucian mysticism. In 2017, remote viewer Lori Williams, tasked with Mt. Shasta as her target, described “very steep land,” which was rocky, grey, brown, hilly, slanted, shadowed with shades of light and dark, grey, orange, round, small, , numerous, partially lit and scattered. Moving 50 feet up, she describes an area that is “Barren, Open, Dark, Rough, Rocky, Orange, White, Grey, Shadowed, Steep.” Moving a distance beneath the inclined land, she describes “Clinking sounds, White, Shiny, Tunneled, Square, Concentric, Pristine, Well-planned, Hidden,” after which her monitor directs her to describe the “clinking sounds.” She detects phenomena that are “Mechanical, Up and down motion, Cylindrical, Shiny, Chrome-colored, Narrow.” Its purpose had to do with “Functionality, Motion, Transportation, Heating (“This place was planned and built”). The monitor tells her to describe the builders and she provides descriptors “Blue, tall, thin, regal, regimented, disciplined, walking in unison, side by side, male and female, quiet, shuffling sounds” and she notes that she gets the sense that only the most elite of scientists are allowed entrance to this area. She describes the construct itself as “deep underground, scientific, militaristic feel,” and a strange biological that she describes as “white, dark-haired, male, walking, Stoic, “There to do a job”, vertically positioned, thin, focused, intense,” and elaborates that the bio is focused on “military, experimental, scientific, “Out there” (“as in strange or wild!”), testing, sadistic, cruel” and she describes the biological being as “cold” and “calculating” but that his behavior is “all in a day’s work” rather than out of the ordinary. When directed to the object of experimentation itself, she describes another biological entity that is “Helpless, alone, biological, nonhuman, yellow-orange color, feels very sad, trapped, against its will, hairy, furry, soft, very large, strange-looking, lonely, sad, solitary, one among few,” and she states that “It feels like a rare creature that is being experimented on and held in captivity against its will.” The monitor instructs her to move to the end result of the experiment and she provides the descriptors “dark, fastidious, cut short, cataclysmic, no longer viable,” as though the creature had surprised the experimenter by unexpectedly dying. Directing her attention to the builders and laborers who constructed this area, she provided the descriptors, “several, male, huge, big, dark-skinned, large body build, not very intelligent, “They seemed like “lumbering apes” to me”, “Like slaves, overworked laborers.” She then directs her attention to the mastermind behind the facility’s construction and provides the descriptors “Astute, wealthy, very focused, family linked,” going on to add that this all seems like a small piece of a much larger plan and that this place was constructed for a special purpose, that it is very secretive and only a very select few elite scientists are allowed access to this area. She says that the ultimate goal is hard to comprehend but that its purpose is experimentation and exploitation. Directed to move to the most important bio there, she describes “powerful, male, white, Caucasian, older, grey-haired, fastidious, scientific.” Moving to the intentions of the bio, she says “colorful, serious, worldwide, “At this point, it all seemed very scary to me. To anyone involved there, it seemed: “Life mission”, all-consuming, worth giving his life for.” She goes on to explain that the plan “involves mankind, involves future of…., to gain power, to retain power, to guarantee future for himself and family, complex, complicated, “over my head”, “It felt scientific and “out there” in the way that CERN is scientific”, top-secret, well-guarded, human, far-reaching, involving mankind.” Directed towards “involving mankind”, she describes data that is “climate-related”, and she provides a quick interim summary: “The target involves a location that contains an underground element, which is hidden, and top secret and which involves experimentation that has to do with climate change and the future of the planet and mankind. The area is very mountainous. This area is very mysterious and has small manmade airborne vehicles that come and go, back and forth, among the mountain tops. It feels as though this is a “fleet” of some sort. These are experimental vessels.” Themes of preservation for the future, preparation, food, and seeds are also mentioned. Intriguingly, the craft, which are visible as they come and go, are described with the words “collaboration, interstellar, intergalactic, collaboration”, and the area is used for “study, research, protection, preservation, “It has an ambiance which is mysterious, futuristic.” She then asks if what is being conducted is good or bad for mankind, and she receives the answer “Depends on your perspective.” She also receives the data “Experimentation on human subjects, experimentation on plants, experimentation on seeds, preparation for eventual possible survival in a post-apocalyptic scenario, “This is a “think tank” sort of place”, very high-tech, assisted by higher intelligence, funded by “big money” — but this is not about money, “This is about power”, and reiterates the concepts of “Science, experimentation, preservation, protection, “What are they protecting?”, status quo, power, “It is not necessarily good for mankind overall.” The monitor directs her to move to what they are protecting and she says that they are guarding against “threat to power, any threat to status quo, uprisings, “Awakening the Slaves.” Directed to the phrase “awakening the slaves” she provides the descriptors “courageous, heart-led, spiritual, down-to-earth, unafraid, pure, “The Meek Shall Inherit The Earth”, Perspective, We are Eternal.” When told to direct her focus to any actions we can take for self-preservation, she was unable to provide any answer. The monitor directs her to what the Powers that Be are most afraid of, and she provides the descriptors “unity, solidarity, rational thinking, heart-led people, “Those who will not be silenced”, changes are coming…, all good things come to he who waits…, embrace each day, The Greatest Power is in Love, And Their greatest power is in Fear.” Lori concludes: “This was such a powerful, intense session for me, and there were several times that I was tempted to quit — to not finish the session and certainly not to share it on the airwaves for millions to see. At the same time, the message seemed very important and very powerful. So I felt compelled to continue, not having any idea what I was seeing or why. I just knew it was an important message. It was fascinating and encouraging to discover that the mountain I remote viewed was Mt. Shasta.” Intriguingly, the psychic Joyce Partise of southern California, in April of 1974, was given a sealed envelope that contained a photograph of a Sasquatch footprint taken in a heavily wooded area in the northern part of the state, and she immediately received the following psychic impression: Her initial remarks: “This envelope is like a death certificate! I foresee an impending disaster, yes, now I see what it is. These things are coming from outer space. It’s an outer space war! The first area will be Portland, Oregon. There’s a mountain with a hole in it. Somebody should investigate this mountain because they’re down there already. You know those hairy things that run around, the ape man? He’s not an ape. They’re underground, in contacft with outer space and their intentions toward mankind is total destruction” [compare with underground in a mountain] Excerpts from the rest of the reading: “This gorilla man — there’s a civilization of thousands of them — he looks creepy but he’s intelligent. Their eyes are extremely sensitive from being underground. It’s though they’re from another civilization long ago and have mutated because of radiation. This has altered their brains and now they’re able to communicate with those in outer space. The sad thing is that these aliens are using them for their work, for laborers, but I can’t tell what they’re building. These aliens are desperate. Something is happening to their planet and they are preparing themselves for the time when they must leave. They must have a place to go, and right now they are analyzing our planet with the help of those hairy creatures and want to take over” But Lori Williams isn’t the only remote viewer to have possibly found something amiss in Mt. Shasta. According to former FBI remote viewer John Vivanco, something like a shamanic portal appears to be present here. When his team remote viewed J.C. Brown’s claims alluded to above, they saw hieroglyphs, large mummies, and intense emotions he experienced during the incident. More disturbingly yet, they remote viewed his disappearance and claim he appears to have been murdered by a secret society invested in secrecy and exercising a great deal of power. when they remote viewed his claims they got the hieroglyphs. John described, perhaps in an understated manner, a “slightly nefarious” situation operative underneath Mt. Shasta, including locations such as Lake Shastina and Pluto’s Cave. When the team remote viewed the disappearance of Carl Landers in the 1990s, they saw him visiting Mt. Shasta as part of a hiking expedition. He was not feeling well so he decided to take off a little bit early from one base camp to the next. His friends arrived to the base camp but he was nowhere to be found. Search and rescue employed infrared during the search and they were not able to find him. Ultimately, the remote viewing team reports that his appearance was the result of an abduction by a very tall, scaly being that resembled a grey alien and that he was being used for his genetic material. Another incident involved the temporary disappearance of a 3-year-old boy while he was camping with his grandmother. When his grandmother reported him missing, search and rescue looked for hours but couldn’t find him. He was eventually found in the bushes very close to the campsite itself and told a story of his “robot grandmother” who took him into a cave with other strange-looking beings in the cave that he called robots, who tried to convince him to defecate on some sticky paper. As with Landers, the remote viewing team determined that he was being used for genetic material. Bizarrely, but perhaps tellingly, a year before this, his grandmother had been camping in the same location and woke up outside of her tent with two pinpricks on her neck, resulting in intense nausea. Other missing person cases near Castle Lake and Pluto’s cave both present us with the same data: Individuals disappearing and being used by tall, grey-like creatures for their genetic data. We learn an important lesson about relying on objective analyses of the underlying conditions that produce experience as the means of determining the nature of the phenomena we encounter, instead of relying on the quality of the experiences themselves. There are plenty of things that feel good, but are not ultimately good for us, and many beings who may predictably present themselves as benevolent to us as a means of deceiving us, whose intentions are not necessarily in our interests at all. Indeed, this is especially important when we have determined from remote viewing data that these non-human intelligences, not only routinely deceive us, but that they have special technology whose purpose is precisely to mentally influence us and manage our impressions of reality in general. Incidentally, such technology, apparently present in underground ET bases discovered by remote viewers, has also sometimes been attested to by alleged alien abductees themselves. Indeed, as we know from UFO and abduction researchers, and accounts from many abductees themselves, non-human intelligences are highly skilled, possibly as a product of comparatively advanced innate psychic abilities, in the use of telepathic hypnosis and the production of virtual reality scenarios that deceive us about the true nature of our encounters with them. Accounts abound, especially in the works of Dr. Karla Turner, Mike Clelland, and Derrel Sims, of aliens using psychic abilities or technologically advanced psychic amplifiers (or both) to modify their own appearances to elicit our consent to procedures we might have otherwise objected to, during these encounters. In some cases, images of spiritual figures whom the abductee trusts, or deceased family members, are generated as illusions urging the abductees to cooperate with the NHIs. In addition to this, and as Russell Pickering and Daz Smith detail in their discussion of Project 8200, the function of the underground alien bases remote viewed by Mel Riley and many others, appears to be that of mental manipulation, mental control, and maintenance of power; that is, according to one of the CIA’s better psychics, Pat Price, who psychically examined these bases in the early 1970s, and whose results Project 8200 attempted to replicate in the 1980s. Pat Price stated in the early 1970s, shortly before his death: “Price’s report stated that the bases primary purpose was to ‘reinforce B.T.L. implants, transport of new recruits and overall monitoring function.’ Today, Atwater has no idea what B.T.L. implants are and to his knowledge, no one has remote viewed this term. Price also reported that the base inhabitants looked like us, homosapiens, except for the heart, lungs, blood and eyes. He reported that the sites were highly protected from discovery, mutually supportive, and had very high technology. He also noted that they used ‘thought transfer for motor control of us.’” “BTL Implants” is a concept derived from Scientology, according to which malevolent ETs intercept our departed souls after we die, condition them with new beliefs or instructions, and re-implant them in new bodies in order to limit our capacities of perception in an effort to control us. In general, I think there is a pretty clear correlation between clusters of “high strangeness” phenomena and confirmed or suspected ET bases. Let’s go through some of the main categories or reported phenomena that have been linked with areas that remote viewers have confirmed with reasonable probability conceal ET bases. Of particular interest to me is the high degree of reported high strangeness in areas which declassified CIA reveals, through Project 8200, conducted in the early 1980s, contain underground alien bases. Daz Smith and Russell Pickering have jointly provided a fantastic interview detailing the data acquired during this session. In addition to these following instances, areas in Sedona, AZ, Dulce, NM (near the Archuleta Mesa in particular), and the Uinta Basin (in and around the so-called Skinwalker Ranch). At least some of the cryptids described below may possibly be interdimensional beings or genetic experiments of the sort described in the controversial material concerning Dulce Base, and alluded to by Lori Williams above.
“No other region in North America features the variety and intensity of unusual phenomena found in the world’s largest alpine valley, the San Luis Valley of Colorado and New Mexico. Since 1989, Christopher O’Brien has documented thousands of high-strange accounts that report UFOs, ghosts, crypto-creatures, cattle mutilations, skinwalkers and sorcerers, along with portal areas, secret underground bases and covert military activity. This mysterious region at the top of North America has a higher incidence of UFO reports than any other area of the continent and is the publicized birthplace of the “cattle mutilation-mystery. Hundreds of animals have been found strangely slain during waves of anomalous aerial craft sightings. Is the government directly involved? Are there underground bases here? Does the military fly exotic aerial craft in this valley that are radar-invisible below 18,000 feet?” When it comes to ETs and the paranormal, seeing is indeed believing, but the otherworldly entities often responsible for what we are seeing may deliberately cause us to see things awry.
