Before 2007, my idea of the Merkaba was vague. Some kind of geometric spiritual spaceship which some guy who calls himself Melchizedek wrote about. I wasn't much interested.... Then I had a dream in the night. Not many dreams have stayed with me over the years, but this one does. Briefly, in the dream I was in the center of a sphere of light, and lifting it off the ground. I was having some difficulty with navigational control, but getting the hang of it. Other people were also in their spherecrafts and trying to lift them off the ground. Other than being impacted by the presence of the dream, I didn't make anything of it. My partner and I were traveling in Germany, and had our hands full with existential logistics. At the end of May, 2019, we returned to Germany from California. While my wife cared for her ill mother, I went deeper into practicing Qigong. I know very little Deutsch, and in the tiny village where we lived, no one knew English, so I was isolated. Being on the autism spectrum, it was comfortable to be in my own world, and I made the best use of the time. I started with the 1,000 year old Qigong set, Eight Pieces of Brocade, and practiced it traditionally. Then, by synchronicity I discovered text-to-speech apps, which inspired me to transcribe the instructions from a Qigong video by Dr. Yang, Jwing-Ming. Being a writer, with an autistic obsession, I began revising the text after practicing, because I kept feeling it could go deeper. Now, 158 major revisions later, it is something new. The breathing-visualizing-moving meditation is called One Light, and it is my way of developing, strengthening and experiencing my merkaba, which I sometimes fondly refer to as my spherecraft. The meditation does much more, as it also connects me experientially with the guardian of my heart, my inner knowing and wisdom. Besides, the Taoist and deep breathing in the 45 minute meditation have proven health benefits. Although I have made the files freely available, as far as I know, I am the only person practicing the moving meditation. The visualizations are integrated into the full set, but can also standalone. I would love to learn if others can relate to the One Light meditation, by hearing from those willing to try it out. They can be modified for a customized fit. Thank you for reading. From an internet search: 'A merkabah is an inner vehicle (your light body) for the transportation of consciousness from one form into another form. It is represented by chariots, or by some form of fire in the Bible, and is nowadays commonly represented by two overlayed pyramids, also known as a Star of David. Drunvalo Melchizedek speaks a lot about the merkabah.' 'The Merkaba represents pure divine energy, constantly spinning, harmonizing, balancing, flowing, moving and expanding in all four directions at all times supporting you where you want to go. ... It harmonizes male and female energy, so understanding how to work with it can literally allow you to manifest all desires.' 'Merkabah, also spelled Merkaba, is the divine light vehicle allegedly used by ascended masters to connect with and reach those in tune with the higher realms. "Mer" means Light. "Ka" means Spirit. "Ba" means Body. Mer-Ka-Ba means the spirit/body surrounded by counter-rotating fields of light, (wheels within wheels), spirals of energy as in DNA, which transports spirit/body from one dimension to another.'
