Emotions and DNA

New Research Shocks Scientists:
Human Emotion Physically Shapes Reality!

Three different studies, done by different teams of scientists proved something really extraordinary. But when a new research connected these 3 discoveries, something shocking was realized, something hiding in plain sight.

Human emotion literally shapes the world around us. Not just our perception of the world, but reality itself.

In the first experiment, human DNA, isolated in a sealed container, was placed near a test subject. Scientists gave the donor emotional stimulus and fascinatingly enough, the emotions affected their DNA in the other room.

In the presence of negative emotions the DNA tightened. In the presence of positive emotions the coils of the DNA relaxed.

In the second, similar but unrelated experiment, different group of scientists extracted Leukocytes (white blood cells) from donors and placed into chambers so they could measure electrical changes.

In this experiment, the donor was placed in one room and subjected to “emotional stimulation” consisting of video clips, which generated different emotions in the donor.

The DNA was placed in a different room in the same building. Both the donor and his DNA were monitored and as the donor exhibited emotional peaks or valleys (measured by electrical responses), the DNA exhibited the IDENTICAL RESPONSES AT THE EXACT SAME TIME.

There was no lag time, no transmission time. The DNA peaks and valleys EXACTLY MATCHED the peaks and valleys of the donor in time.

The scientists wanted to see how far away they could separate the donor from his DNA and still get this effect. They stopped testing after they separated the DNA and the donor by 50 miles and STILL had the SAME result. No lag time; no transmission time.

The DNA and the donor had the same identical responses in time. The conclusion was that the donor and the DNA can communicate beyond space and time.

The third experiment proved something pretty shocking!
Scientists observed the effect of DNA on our physical world.

Light photons, which make up the world around us, were observed inside a vacuum. Their natural locations were completely random.

Human DNA was then inserted into the vacuum. Shockingly the photons were no longer acting random. They precisely followed the geometry of the DNA.

Scientists who were studying this, described the photons behaving “surprisingly and counter-intuitively”. They went on to say that “We are forced to accept the possibility of some new field of energy!”

They concluded that human DNA literally shape the behavior of light photons that make up the world around us!

So when a new research was done, and all of these 3 scientific claims were connected together, scientists were shocked.

They came to a stunning realization that if our emotions affect our DNA and our DNA shapes the world around us, than our emotions physically change the world around us.

And not just that, we are connected to our DNA beyond space and time.

We create our reality by choosing it with our feelings.

Science has already proven some pretty MINDBLOWING facts about The Universe we live in. All we have to do is connect the dots.

From connection with ourselves, such as feeling our emotions, to connecting with others, to a longing for connection with 'something greater,' I'd say we all feel disconnected in some way -- or are so disconnected we don't even feel that.

In summary,

What prevents connection is contraction.
What causes contraction is resistance.
What underlies resistance is often anxiety.
What generates anxiety, some say, is the primitive brain.
But, is there a deeper root?

Raphael Cushnir, a respected author and facilitator, says,

'I think of anxiety as fear of feeling, stemming from the primitive brain, a way to distract from an underlying emotion that seems more dangerous. Being with anxiety takes us through it to that deeper emotion which then can let go of us.'

I am all up for doing the inner work of Emotional Connection, which is integrated into the design of Heart Breathing -- a simple, powerful  way to support such inner work and make Connection more deeply felt and effective 24/7.

Emotional Connection

Much of the material on this page is drawn from The One Thing Holding You Back and Surfing Your Inner Sea.

What is an emotion?

An emotion is a message from your brain, delivered to your body as a physical sensation.

Why are emotions so crucial?

Emotions are essential in reaching the greatest possible understanding of who we are and what we want. The more attuned we grow to our emotions, the wiser and more discriminating we become.

Whenever we’ve grown stale, emotions reawaken us. Wherever we’ve grown stuck, they get us moving. With just the simple ability to notice and experience our feelings, daily existence becomes fascinating and vibrant. We shift from lethargic to motivated, from passive to energized.

What does feeling an emotion entail?

Step 1) To experience an emotion, place your attention directly on the sensation it produces in your body.

Step 2) Keep your attention on that sensation until it either dissipates or changes.

That’s all there is to it. Really. These two simple steps, however, are often anything but easy. To perform them well, especially at the most difficult times, requires the following shifts in the quality of our attention.

Shift 1) Slow down

Feeling time is different than to-do list time. Emotions require us to sync up to their inner flow rather than press our own timetable upon them.

When we do, they not only dissipate the quickest and easiest, but they also reveal great personal insight without any effort whatsoever.

When we don’t, and instead attempt to think our way through a problem too soon, our powers of analysis become completely unreliable. For that reason it’s helpful to heed the maxim “Feel first, think later.”

Shift 2) Get Microscopic

At first our internal sensations can seem distant and amorphous. But whenever we  observe them up close, in patient detail, they yield the greatest possible rewards.

Emotions may be hot or cold. They may be heavy or light. They may move throughout your body in waves, swirls, or flashes. They may produce internal imagery or sound. They may pass in an instant, or gradually over time. With practice, all these emotional aspects become much easier to sense.

The above two steps, along with the above two shifts, make up the 2X2 process for Emotional Connection.

What is Emotional Surfing?

Over time I developed an even easier way than the 2×2 process to describe how to feel.  I call it surfing. To understand why let’s look at ocean surfing.

Among the most challenging sports, ocean surfing involves the rare combination of two constantly moving elements. There’s the surfer on the board, and also the wave on which the surfer balances. Each millisecond during which surfer and wave proceed in unison, all is well. But at the first instant of disconnect – wipeout.

When surfing your emotions, the “wave” is your constantly shifting inner experience. The “surfer” is your attention, following the wave up close, in matching motion. There is absolutely no attempt to control the wave or otherwise alter the experience. It’s strictly “Whither thou goest, I shall go.”

When surfing your emotions, the “wave” is your constantly shifting inner experience. The “surfer” is your attention, following the wave up close, in matching motion.

In this, however, is a wondrous paradox. The very act of surfing your internal waves without trying to change them is precisely what does change them. Your attention facilitates flow. It creates additional inner space. These two results of emotional surfing – flow and space – allow turbulent waters to storm freely and calm quickly. They also allow you to keep your balance no matter how enormous the swells.

How do thoughts enter into all this?

Thinking can cause you to wipe out while surfing in a variety of ways. The most common ways are distraction, analyzing, and judging. When any of these disturbances occur, it may be a brief or long time before you become aware  of them. But at the moment you do become aware, it’s crucial that you recognize the thinking in a neutral way and return to the sensations in your body straight away.

Getting down on yourself for wiping out only creates more tension and makes surfing that much harder.

Another way thoughts impact surfing occurs when feeling states kick up painful beliefs about yourself. Say you’re feeling shame, for example. You might then have the thought, “I’m a total loser.”

If you try to banish that belief because it’s unhelpful, it will only fight back harder. And if you decide the belief is correct, and therefore collapse into it, you’ll likewise give it power.

Surfing a feeling is completely different from engaging with the beliefs you may have related to that feeling.

Instead, it’s best to notice the thought with a kind of inward bow, a “thank you for sharing,” if you will. Then, with no further engagement, return to the wave of the moment at hand.

Bottom line: surfing the feeling is completely different from engaging with the beliefs you may have related to that feeling. The good news is that the more you feel your difficult feelings directly, the easier it  is to be free of harmful beliefs once and for all. In fact,  they just disappear all on their own.

What are your guiding principles?

5/10/2017

Picture
This discussion developed as it happened, without planning. I posted it in several groups, including 'Awakening Community,' 'Collective Evolution,' 'Earth Wisdom Community,' 'Empaths, Psychics, Sensitives,' 'Spiritual Awakening,' and 'We are One.'

As  Rod MacKinnon wrote, 'Reading through everyone's posts is pretty inspiring.'

Thank you, everyone. If you would like to make changes to your comment below, please contact me.

At the end of the 1990's, I wrote my guiding principles based on intuitive feeling. That played a major role in making my shift from a narrow, rigid, exclusive worldview to a broadened, flexible and inclusive one.

Recently I wrote new guides, which also serve as affirmative thoughts while heart breathing and throughout the day. They are:

Be of the present moment.
Feel the heart space.
Act from loving kindness.
Trust the grand design.

Be of the present moment.

The present moment refers to consciousness.
'Not of the world systems,
but of the present moment.'

Feel the heart space.

The heart space is the center
in the body which,
when felt, expands
human awareness
to universal consciousness.

Act from loving kindness.

Loving kindness is meant here
as the full spectrum of qualities
which radiate from
unconditional love.

Acting from the qualities of
unconditional love is the
evidence that the principles
are being lived.

Loving kindness is our true
human nature, and acting from it
is living authentically.

Trust the grand design.

Being grounded in the heart space
and in the present moment
while 'seeing' the larger picture
and trusting its intelligent design
brings balance and inner peace.

The grand design
is not only 'out there'
in the starry sky or the
intricate, inter-connected
patterns and cycles of nature.
It is also in the human body
and can be recognized, for example,
in the DNA blueprint.

Trusting the grand design
can also be applied to
trusting the grand designer,
which is what I am within,
and to accepting the 'what is,'
the mystery of life and the unknown.

Melissa Dasher wrote of her guiding principle,  'I will be spending the rest of my life attempting to.'

It is the same for me. My guides are not beyond my reach, but they make me stretch.

Here are the responding comments from each Facebook group:

Hi Gary R. Smith..... Reading through everyone's posts is pretty inspiring...Well done for coming up with all the great inquiries. Reading your questions first thing in the morning, gives me a theme to think on for the day.

We've had a few conversations around the idea that a life philosophy needs to be pragmatic. Something that actually works for us in the day-to-day world. An idea that I’ve found useful, revolves around beliefs.

No belief is, of itself, true or false and its value isn’t in whether or not it’s true but in whether or not it enables us to achieve the outcomes we want. An example of this could be, “I can achieve whatever I set my mind to.” While it isn’t true in every case, it’s a very useful way to think.

“The value of any belief lies in its resourcefulness,” is a philosophical idea that can be developed as a practical strategy.

Reflections on the Extraordinary in Ordinary Life

5/5/2017

From water rose the fog one day and formed into a cloud,
then light broke through the vapor mist and lifted off the shroud.

As mist went swirling in the light, and by the air was blown
I heard it say in haunting tones, “Your life is what you own.”

The fog upon the river bank gave way to winter snow
and whispered softly in my ear, "Your life is who you know."

Another day the winter sun turned ice into a pond,
and formed into a perfect mirror for gazing the beyond.

The image in the glassy pool was a leaf upon a tree
and then between the worlds appeared an image that was me.

The surface was reflective, the water pure to drink,
it spoke to me so clearly, "Your life is what you think."

My eyes went in the water, to know more deeply still
and there I heard the message, "Your life is what you will."

And then the entrance opened to the inner outer space
and revealed the one I am, we met there face-to-face.

Once again the vision spoke. “Your heart will know what’s true.”
“Now walk into the labyrinth. The Universe is you.”

Anxiety Relief

5/3/2017

From the Healthy Hemp Oil article:
5 Ways to Relieve Anxiety Using Traditional Tools

If you’re someone who suffers from anxiety, you can often feel hopeless and frustrated in the search for effective treatments. Conflicting advice, strong opinions and the abundance of misinformation make it difficult to know what to do to relieve your anxiety.

While there are a number of pharmaceutical interventions that you can turn to, none are without side effects, and none offer a natural, healthy solution that acts immediately to alter your anxious state.

You can suffer from anxiety for a number of reasons. Anxiety covers a large spectrum of issues from those who suffer from panic attacks and obsessive thoughts to those who hyper-focus on potentially negative scenarios and outcomes.

There is a range of effective strategies that you can use to help you when anxiety strikes and begins to snowball. Many of these techniques can help you reach a calm, anxiety-free state.

5 Ways to Relieve Anxiety – Tried and Tested Mental Tools and Techniques

Many tools and techniques exist that can be used to nip anxiety in the bud or reel it in and make it more manageable. Below are healthy, effective ways to relieve anxiety using mental techniques.

1. Understand What Your Mind Is Doing

Panic attacks can make your brain play tricks on you. When you’re in a hyper-anxious state and are becoming overwhelmed, your mind will attempt to wreak havoc on your senses and create hyperbolic, high-stress scenarios that your body may start to believe.

If you can, remind yourself that your mind is attempting to trick you. You may not be having the physiological reaction that you think you are. Having this awareness can help to calm you and reassure you that you are able to get through this period of high anxiety.

2. Acceptance and Observation Without Judgment

Marla W. Dybler, PsyD, a clinical psychologist and author of the Psych Central Blog Therapy That Works, has an important reminder: “Anxiety is just a feeling.” Like any other emotion or sensation, anxiety is a reaction that will pass in time. Acknowledging this puts the power back in your hands, as you know that this is a feeling that you can survive and get through.

Having the ability to take an objective stance on your anxiety – without being hard on yourself and falling into negative feedback loops – allows you to accept your situation. At this moment in time, you are experiencing anxiety, but it is tolerable and will pass. Being able to do this can help you to eradicate feelings of hopelessness that can compound and worsen your anxious state.

3. Breathing Techniques

Not only does focusing on your breathing help to centre you in the present, but it also has a physiological effect on your mental state. By slowing your breathing and commanding deep, long breaths from the diaphragm, you move your body from a “flight or fight” state to one of relaxation. It’s a technique taught to soldiers and athletes around the world and has been tried and tested in incredibly high-stress situations.

This is the first method to use when trying to bring your anxiety under control. Inhale slowly to a count of 4, fill your thorax and torso, and hold your breath for a further count of 4 before exhaling slowly and repeating. Increasing the count and focusing on the numbers as you centre your thoughts on your breathing is another effective tactic that will help to calm your thoughts.

4. Meditation & Positive Visualisation

If you have never practised meditation before, this may be a little bit out of your comfort zone at first. However, regularly practising meditation improves your ability to cope when your mind overwhelms you and seems to be out of control.

While regular practice will give you the ability to tap into this skill when you need it most, calming, relaxed visualisation can also aid you if you have never practised meditation before. Focusing on images, moments and ideas that are calming and assiging your negative worries and emotions to them can be very powerful.

For example, visualising passing clouds or a gentle stream and assigning your anxious emotions to these visual elements allows you to let them float away from you and out of your current frame of mind.

5. Logical Interruptions

Your brain is an incredibly powerful tool. You can do incredible things with your mind. This can play against us when we’re feeling particularly anxious. At these times, it might feel like your brain is working overtime to come up with worst-case scenarios, tricking you into believing that they are an accurate representation of reality.

When you’re trying to break out of these dangerous, frustrating cycles, it may help to ask yourself a series of questions that will interrupt these patterns and force you to apply logic and past experience in a realistic way. Ask yourself questions like…

  • How likely is this to happen?
  • Is the worst-case scenario really so bad?
  • If the worst happens, can I handle that situation?
  • Is this an accurate reflection of reality, or does it simply feel that way right now?
  • If something negative does happen, does that really mean anything about who I am as a person?
  • What steps can I take right now to prepare for what happens next?
  • Even if the situation goes wrong, so what? What are the real world implications?

What If These Techniques Aren’t Enough?

Working through these techniques will give you a set of skills and methods that you can use when you begin to feel anxious. While they are effective in the majority of situations – at least in bettering the situation if not halting anxiety in its tracks – many people feel the need to turn to pharmaceutical interventions to supplement these techniques.

Prescription drugs may work for some, but they do come with their drawbacks. Many of these drugs are addictive and come with numerous side-effects that can adversely affect your body and mind with long-term use. Dependency is another dangerous factor if these unnatural drugs are used as a crutch over a long period of time.

Combining the use of natural supplements with the traditional techniques discussed in this article can bring you powerful, effective relief when all else seems hopeless and frustrating. These techniques don’t come with nasty side-effects or force you to run the risk of addiction. Instead, they provide you with positive, empowering tools that help you to relieve your anxiety and stress through traditional tools that have been successful time and time again.

The article asks, Do you have any techniques or tips for managing anxiety successfully? Do you have a go-to calming visualisation? Let us know in the comments below if you’ve put these methods to good use...

Yes! I designed Heart Space Breathing which has been highly effective for me, not only to reduce symptoms of anxiety such as from a lifetime of misophania, but also to improve the way I interact with the world and in relationships.

I started smoking cannabis to relieve pain from issues in the upper cervical and lower lumbar, and have benefited in other ways, e.g., when I am on the inversion table after smoking, my deep breathing is greatly enhanced. I consider cannabis as an adjunct to my spiritual practice.

Comments on Heart Breathing

Deepak Balachandar

I tried Heart Breathing, and it was very relaxing.

I can really attest to the chants of Aaaaa and Ooooo.

I noticed this very sharply on cannabis that the A and O were coming from the heart and throat.

But for the chant to be effective, it has to be INFUSED with one's force/will, it has to be heartfelt/real - which I found was effortless on cannabis, but in my sober state, it felt sorta mechanical and forced.

Usually in my ordinary sober state, I do not feel the will to do any spiritual practice.

My experience is usually, hmm I can call it something like formless relaxation and whatever happens from there is allowed, and it takes me some mental effort to do practices.

So I found that I had to put a subtle effort to do each step.

But yea, I'm sure there are others who would benefit a lot from the practice.

Every practice has its value.

G. - Thank you, Deepak. Every practice has it value, and every person responds individually.

After a few times, heart breathing became natural and effortless for me - especially when applied as it arises over the day. I also find my heart breathing is enhanced with cannabis.

May I add your comments to a Whole Human blog post with your name?

D. - Yea, sure.

I do resonate with your overall message of resting in the heart space with the breath that is where one is naturally taken in conscious relaxation.
