Continued from Sadhana to Lagos It was 'love at first sight' with the island we are on in the middle of the Atlantic, the Violet Island in the Islands of Mist and Remnants of Atlantis.

During our first night in Lagos, Portugal, in my dream, Kati and I had a choice between what was easy and what would enable us to grow. We chose to grow.
It feels like a summary of our lives together. We always choose to grow, and it is never easy. We groan to grow. Life offers its gifts in sweet moments: closeness shared, the beautiful woods of the Black Forest, and the bakeries of the village!
The seasons will be turning soon, as the first flowers of Spring are already defying the frozen cold of Winter, and the promise of new life is in the air. We are also feeling a promise of moving on. - from a postcard to my sister This morning, on our last full day at the ashram, one of the community members (Maria) offered to lead us in a moving meditation. It was such a beautiful ending to our time here.
Photos of the meditation in the ashram seminar room, with music from the CD, 'Meditation der vier Himmelsrichtungen' by Jabrane Mohamed Sebnat, are posted below as a continuation from '11:11.' Authentic living for me now means living from the centerpoint, the stillpoint. From here there is only contraction or expansion of what I am within who I am, and that becomes the basis of my choices.
I know what contracts and expands and am still refining. It is an art and skill and never ending process. There is no perfection, no end of the process, yet there can be excellence. |
