A conversation between Flaviu Rizeanu and "VOFLAG" has marked a turning point in my life, and opened new vistas of awareness and understanding. The meaning of "VOFLAG" is revealed herein and is also Gary Smith. The dialog may have some oddities, because it is combined (not all sequentially) from inter-actions over a longer period. Comments are invited. ONE OF THE INFINITE SIDES OF TRUTH Gary Smith On 'this side' of the supposed Veil, there is a Flow of Life, of apparently separated objects and events. On the 'other side', the unseen realm sometimes called the Void, there is not. According to the new science of Biocentrism, based on quantum theory, beyond the organized hologram of 'reality' projected by the brain, is a fuzzy state of probabilities, the Void. And yet, there is no veil, no beyond, and the two 'sides' are one. Biocentrism describes that unity as a continuum. Flaviu Whatever story is assembled there about truth... it's just a story showing one of the infinite sides of the truth. As long as one does not cling to a specific view as being the only truth, one remains free of attachments. The more points of view one is able to accept and integrate, the more close to the ever changing nature of the truth one is. Gary Yes! That is the track Gary Flow has been on, making his perspective more complete by viewing all perspectives neutrally and integrating them as a natural process. He concludes that there is wisdom in forming no conclusions, and that includes defending no beliefs or viewpoints. He likes to say, "All statements, including this one, are from a partial and limited perspective. Integrating other views make my perspective more round." We say Flow as a metaphor, yes? Because where there is no time or space, how can there be Flow? So "flow" can only apply to a time/space/sensory experience, which is an apparent separation. And where does Love come into this picture? Flaviu 🙂 We who? Remember and apply also the non-self principle. Yes.. there is no flow 🙂. Love... is the support of Life. There cannot be a discussion from a non-self perspective... only from a self perspective.. If the I wants something, it is because what you call the 'flow of life' moves what you call an "I" to want something. There is no "I" 🙂 If you speak as the flow of life, YOU identify with the flow of life and become separated of "everything which is not flow of life". This is still the ego-identification. When identified with something, with Anything, you become that and express something from that perspective. Gary VOFLAG the VOid/Flow of Life As Gary Flaviu ❤ it seems you have found the impersonal higher self ❤ from which Gary radiates as one with AllThatIs. Gary How do 'self and non-self' relate to 'I and I Am'? Flaviu There is not a self.. there is no solid "I am".. only Oneness / AllThatIs. The self and the "I" are distinctions/separated appearances in AllThatIs. "I" is the separation/border between inside and outside. And the self is "that which is inside the border of the I"... everything else which is outside the border of the I is non-Self / not me / not I, a negated self "I AM" is the self but not the non-self. "I AM NOT" is the non-self but not the self. All the above are ego-identifications, apparent separations. Gary Yes, while AllThatIs, the Continuum, etc., are all-inclusive and non-negatable. The book read for a Raja Yoga video talks about self, soul, I and I Am, in 14 lessons and 319 pages. Last night listening to the first lesson, it felt complicated and confusing. VOFLAG likes the simplicity of 'there is only the AllThatIs', which (like the Continuum, and the One Being), is for him the unity of the Flow of Life and the fuzzy state of probabilities sometimes called the Void. All else, including the I, the self, ego, soul, etc., is an apparent separation. The I is a border between the inner Void, and the outer Flow of Life. As the I is only an apparent separation, so is the border. When a person longs for the experience of unity, and freedom from suffering, the way is over identifying with the Continuum, the AllThatIs, and detaching from all that apparently separates from it, such as wanting something different than what is, judging, defending ego separation, and so on. Deep acceptance releases one from attachments. As long as one does not cling to a specific view as being the only truth, one remains free of attachments. The more points of view one is able to accept and integrate, the closer to the ever changing nature of the truth one is. The 'I' serves to enable the Continuum to experience individuality, and to enable humans to communicate with each other. The key is to not identify with the I, but to retain awareness of it as a means used by the Continuum. Awareness of the breath is a tool for being aware of one's emotional state, and maintaining presence in the Moment where the Continuum can be felt. The Continuum cannot be known by the intellect, but only experienced, over the intuitive feelings (not to be confused with emotions, which like thought, beliefs, and mentals concepts, can block the feeling of unity). A WAY OF PEACE AND ONENESS This simple understanding of non-suffering, peace, and oneness translates beautifully into daily life. There is only Oneness (AllThatIs, the Continuum) and peace -- or separation and suffering. It is okay to choose to experience suffering. To choose peace: 1. Identify as the Continuum, the AllThatIs (non-self) experiencing individuality (self/apparent separation) through a human being. 2. Bring awareness to breathing, which is in the Present Moment. 3. Deeply accept what is. Who accepts? Oneness moves Gary to accept what is. 4. As it comes up, let go of all that separates from the Continuum, such as inner tensity, importance, wanting something different than what is, controlling, labelling, etc. 5. Personal pronouns are used with awareness that they represent nothing real, only apparent separation. They are a means of communication, and for the Continuum to experience individuality. 6. The way of non-suffering and peace does not go through the head or the heart, rather, over the body of sensations which has no attributes but feels real. 7. It is not 'I am AllThatIs' or 'I experience Oneness', but 'Oneness experiences individuality through [name].' 8. As long as one does not cling to a specific view as being the only truth, one remains free of attachments. The more points of view one is able to accept and integrate, the closer to the ever changing nature of truth one is. *** The image is by an artist unknown to me.
