Experimentation This continues from ELECTRIC FREQUENCY JOURNAL 005: Cosmic Consciousness There are many versions of a popular story about the inventor Thomas Edison. He was working on the creation of a practical light bulb or a new battery. He and his team of researchers conducted a series of unsuccessful experiments. The most authoritative version I have found comes from the Quote Investigator: The earliest evidence QI has located for this tale was written in 1910 in a comprehensive two volume biography called “Edison: His Life and Inventions”. The anecdote was told by a long-time associate of Edison’s named Walter S. Mallory. Edison and his researchers had been working on the development of a nickel-iron battery for more than five months when Mallory visited Edison in his laboratory. The key dialog below has been highlighted with boldface: I found him at a bench about three feet wide and twelve to fifteen feet long, on which there were hundreds of little test cells that had been made up by his corps of chemists and experimenters. He was seated at this bench testing, figuring, and planning. I then learned that he had thus made over nine thousand experiments in trying to devise this new type of storage battery, but had not produced a single thing that promised to solve the question. In view of this immense amount of thought and labor, my sympathy got the better of my judgment, and I said: ‘Isn’t it a shame that with the tremendous amount of work you have done you haven’t been able to get any results?’ Edison turned on me like a flash, and with a smile replied: ‘Results! Why, man, I have gotten a lot of results! I know several thousand things that won’t work.’ In my 'Electric Frequency Journal' experiment, I haven't tried even a hundred variations and there has been a lot of learning. For one thing, I have learned how to express more clearly the point of my experiments, even if it pains my pride to publish for public view my 'weird thoughts.' The purpose is to show the path of evolution, if there is one. 'Path' and 'journey' are meant as metaphors, as there is no distance to traverse in awareness. 'Awakening' does not say it fully either, nor is it just a matter of 'remembering', 'unlearning' or becoming 'enlightened.' There is an actuality, unobservable and immeasurable, which may be felt over higher senses and experienced. It is the core frequency of the observable, the actuality of Present Moment Frequency which underlies the reality of Electromagnetic Frequency. That is the 'journey,' from EMF to PMF in awareness, and the embodiment of core frequency qualities. I am retired, my lifelong passion has consistently been 'conscious evolution' towards 'cosmic consciousness,' and now is a time when I can more freely follow my most irrational and unreasonable ideas and intuitions using myself as a guinea pig. I have no expectations of results, yet have already uncovered a treasure trove of insights and realizations for my journey. After the series of five Electric Frequency Journal posts, I am changing the title to reflect my dawning realizations. It is for now the EMF TO PMF JOURNAL. EMF = Electro-Magnetic Frequency PMF = Present Moment Frequency Distortions in EMF fog the experience of feeling Being. In EMF there are distinctions of frequencies. The distortion is in the distinctions. The PMF is undifferentiated. It is the actuality of oneness. I know the actuality of oneness but do not experience it. The apparent distance is between knowing cosmic consciousness and experiencing it. When I truly live in the Present Moment, I experience everything as one Present Moment Frequency. Rather than distinct and separate frequencies, it is a complex of all frequencies. Measuring is irrelevant. That doesn't mean there isn't a reality of solid objects or oppositions or weighty challenges. 3D reality co-exists with a consciousness where none of the duality is true and all is actually one. The idea is to be aware of both simultaneously. So, for example, I stand for what feels 'right', even in opposition, to bring balance within the reality of distinctions. I meet challenges in ways which take into account 'the oneness factor.' Meeting challenges creatively is for my own learning, and compassion does not always interfere with the learning of others. It is an in-the-moment choice, guided by the heart. I see the pain of hunger and loneliness in the faces of the homeless and act with compassion, whether that is to offer a helping hand or simply feeling love, knowing that I am them and they are me. Experiencing and not only knowing the actuality of oneness will change the course of humanity. Terms such as EMF to PMF, feeling Being and evolving to cosmic consciousness are the same, just with differences of emphasis. Oneness is not a destination. It is what is. In appearance, earth reality is not an experience of oneness — due to the distortions. The mind is conditioned to be fully convinced the distortions are the truth! Higher consciousness cannot be reached by making effort. Striving only hinders on this path. Wanting creates more barrier. The way is over letting go of wanting and striving and relaxing into what is. My aimless aim is to create an actual experience which resets the brains to another way of living, from a perspective of oneness.  Design by Kati and Gary R. Smith. Heart Breathing started its development during a time when I communicated with a 'cooperative network of conscious particles' over the focal point of a stone. Those explorations are chronicled in the Heartstone series. The custom designed super headband which holds two flat speakers and two orgone discs is being made for me by a talented seamstress found on Etsy. I have received two prototypes from her and she is working on the third. A few years ago, when my wife and I were live-in houseparents to six at-risk teenaged boys, I came into contact with Joe Verona, the brainwave entrainment engineer of Rewired Brain. He made audio tracks then to help the boys, and recently created four superb BWE tracks for me, which I am using exclusively in this second phase of the experiment. The TENS unit supplies electrical stimulation of the nerves from a 9 volt battery over gel pads which adhere to the skin. With the TENS unit running and connecting them, I visualize a stream of electrons flowing in a circuit between the first and fourth chakras. While envisioning this white light and its service to the One Being and feeling its flow, I affirm my intention to open my heart and touch the core frequency of the universe. There is something to this, but I do not know yet where it will lead. The experience with electrons running through my body did lead me to look up a book, 'Electric Universe: How Electricity Switched on the Modern World' by David Bodanis. According to the description, For centuries, electricity was seen as little more than a curious property of certain substances that sparked when rubbed. Then, in the 1790s, Alessandro Volta began the scientific investigation that ignited an explosion of knowledge and invention. The force that once seemed inconsequential was revealed to be responsible for everything from the structure of the atom to the functioning of our brains. In harnessing its power, we have created a world of wonders—complete with roller coasters and radar, computer networks and psychopharmaceuticals. What comes to me before seeing the book is that unless there is character development along with technological development, scientific discoveries can bring more detriment than benefit. Certainly they can lead the conditioned mind further into illusory EMF reality and further away from PMF actuality. A more suitable living space would upgrade the experiments and our overall experience. We (my wife and I) have transformed a dusty piece of ground into a vibrant garden of flowers and herbs, but the environment is harsh. Even though we know there is another actuality which occasionally we tap into, there is a longing in our hearts for sweetness and gentleness in our reality, which we have not yet found.
