Dried at 45c for two hours and weight reduced to 8.7 grams.
Consumed half the dried cap (about 1 gram) at 3:22 a.m. Wednesday, April 13.
Consumed second half cap around 4:30 a.m., and stem about 6 a.m.
INTENTION: I live as the Tao.
NOTES: So far, at 9:45 a.m., the effects are noticeable yet subtle. They're not overpowering at all, rather give a feeling of warm assistance. I am fortunate to live where the possession of psychedelic plants for personal use is decriminalized.

A few nights earlier:
From my notes of the dream this morning, I drank spring water and was told, 'You loved King Arthur, but you can't ignite your world of gods and dragons again.'

I replied, 'I don't seek a world of gods and dragons, but of the higher self, and the Golden Teacher can help bridge over neural pathways.'

Words that came:
Each time we walk our 'mad adventure' path up the side of the volcano from the beach, through the magical forest, to the market in the village above, it feels new to us.

Every day in springtime, new visual feasts of blossoming flowers, trees and vines dazzle our senses, and we are met by new encounters with tourists, locals, goats, dogs, cats, birds, chickens, and cows as we walk. We've even seen hedgehog and rat carcasses alongside the road, especially flushed out after a rain.

Expeditions into the harbor town of Horta on the other side of the island include a different walk, up a road to the bus stop then an hour-long ride into the bustling sounds and sights of the commerce center for a triangle of three islands. We made that eight hour excursion yesterday and even though the route's the same we've taken many times, the experience was very new.

Perhaps plasticity of the brain helps or even enables us to experience the same paths with such newness and fluidity. Many factors and influences come into play for sure. It's not just that the sights and sounds seemingly outside us are new, but that we are new as well. Like the island being reshaped by rainstorms, rockslides, constantly crashing ocean waves and weather patterns, and renewing seasonal advances, we advance in our lives, renewing ourselves through self reflection and awareness. It is the interaction of so-called inner and outer that moves us all along.

There are many opportunities for self reflection and renewal through such interactions. For example, one day crossing a field, two youthful and energetic podango dogs, uneducated by their humans, jumped on me with their muddy paws 🐾. And on another day, my thoughts of judgment towards other passengers on the bus were like those uneducated dogs. Choosing not to live by double standards, I reined the thoughts in, reminding myself of my own behaviors and letting go of judging others.

My experience of our town excursion was made much smoother yesterday by letting go of control in various situations. When I stop making unimportant things important, what is essential can more easily flow. Living on an island of an archipelago called 'the remnant of Atlantis' reminds me that the antidote for hubris is humility. And I realize that boredom is often a sign of being stagnant within, which resolves by being in love with the present moment.

The Tao Te Ching speaks of the characteristics of the sage and the Tao, which could also be called the Unity, Source or One Being.

Whether by a single historical figure or in some other way, the words of the Tao Te Ching were written, and the qualities of the sage they describe, like those of the Christ, are ones I choose to emulate.

Not for the ego do I feel so drawn to the sage, but to follow a deep natural urge. Without some type of transformation towards the Unity, the race of Man seems doomed in my eyes.

Though beautiful in their own way, these bodies and brains are simply too dense for those who choose to experience the Unity in this dimension.

The transformation envisioned likely won't happen by hard work alone, neither solely by divine intervention.

Therefore at this time I turn un-obsessively to micro-dosing the Golden Teacher for assistance in softening rigid patterns and creating new neural pathways that bridge human and Being.

Know that in feeling it all, we are widening our capacity to heal and overcome. Tears might flow more freely as they release and cleanse our hearts.

These are not easy times. It can feel like we are being squeezed.
Like the imperative trumpet call for our evolution is being played.
And indeed it is. We are each a part of this great symphony.

Each of our distinctive notes, like dancing particles in waves, is being tuned with the greater harmony of the cosmos.
