If the 🌍 earth is a holodeck, and the non-existent 'I' pretends to be -- in an apparent body of sensations that feels real -- what really matters? Truly the 'in divine duality' of the individual creates its own world of reality. Whether that world persists, no one can say. So, I cannot impose my world on another, and needn't feel imposed upon, when my world is strong. Still, fluidity and flow of my holographic world enables me to not get stuck and suffer more. Even if the 'I' doesn't have existence, it doesn't like to suffer. Perhaps it is like Grantland Rice wrote, “For when the One Great Scorer comes To mark against your name, He writes - not that you won or lost - But HOW you played the Game." Yet this assumes a scorer of the Game, and such existence is determined by me. Aha! Though there is no me, I do create my reality. What a peculiar paradox, that 'I' don't exist, but have all power to determine my experience of life. Not to say the non-existent 'I' can wave a wand, and all wishes will appear. But to say that built within this hologram is the apparent free will choice of my response. Fair enough. Not always easy, but somehow sporting of the powers that be. And there is comfort in knowing that the hologram can be consciously aware it is a hologram -- which serves to give the AllThatIs an experience of individuality. What greater purpose does a non-existent 'I' need? "The Great Beginning produced emptiness, and emptiness produced the Universe." -- Lou An, Huai-nan Tzu (second century B.C.E.) "Language aside, there is no actual "me" performing an act of "looking out". The "me" is a figure of speech corresponding to nothing at all...." - 'Beyond Biocentrism", pg 125 "....this essence of Being -- this Nature of All Things, this true Self behind awareness and life itself, this seeming void that appears to be the backdrop of all our human misadventures -- is an unimaginably powerful entity." - 'Beyond Biocentrism", pg 85 Words, and terms, and statements have whatever meaning the author intends and however the reader/hearer interprets them. None can provide a complete perspective, so it is always an ongoing process of experiencing and understanding more. AllThatIs means to me the Flow of Life in time and space, seen as an inter-connected Oneness. NoneThatIs points to the paradoxical (to the human mind) nature of the pre-existent Probability Void. The Unified Continuum describes the non-separation of the Flow of Life and the Probability Void. Whereas, the One Being includes the infinite consciousness of the Continuum. In comments, Larry Vorwerk wrote: "This conversation may be easier to understand by reading about quantum physics where everything is a wave and a particle at the same time. That is why I love modern physics, because it blends it's understanding with spirituality. Basically our consciousness is the determining factor on what comes into being by our intention and focus." Gary R. Smith responded: Yes, the new science of Biocentrism, proposed by highly regarded classical scientists and based on the latest quantum theory, is my go-to for an understanding from physics. Yet, this understanding is not the end of the story, either. The relationship between observer and observed is still within the holodeck, which is provided by the individual mind. The Biocentrism authors say that when the holodeck is shut down (my words), there is a fuzzy state of probabilities. The Flow of Life is generally perceived as 'outer', the Void conceived as 'inner', yet there is no border but the non-existent 'I' between them. For me there is clarity in conceptualizing the Flow of Life (the mental holodeck of apparent separation), the Probability Void (the backdrop of quantum mechanics) and the Unified Continuum (the non-separated Oneness of the two). But if it remains conceptual it remains unreal. Only with direct, felt experience can this understanding be applied in the everyday life of the mental holodeck. The understanding is more integrated when 'I' am aware there is no separate 'I', but only one great Being. My apparent body of sensations, by so-called free will choice, is moved by that Being -- thus giving an experience of individuality. There is no need to re-unite with the One Being, since we were never actually separated. The less I label, the less separated my experience. For me, there is peace in trusting my existence/non-existence to the One Being, and simply getting on with loving life as it is. My focus returns to true identity, freeing me from the mire of mental separation, with the reminders: "The One Being experiences individuality through this apparent body of sensations, which feels real." and "This apparent body of sensations which feels real is moved by the One Being." and "The Self and Non-Self is in the Continuum."
