How do you feel about this?
A newsletter that appeared in my inbox makes the statement, "If that's true, then there's no hope of ever returning to normal...." The statement is in response to comments attributed to a public figure. Probably many have held onto a hope of 'returning to normal.' My hope is that humanity will never return to the pre-pandemic normal, but will move forward into a more unified version of itself. A post in a discussion group asked, "...Do you believe there is actually only 'One Savior', or does [the salvation/enlightenment/awakening] of humanity rely on the collective]?" From my perspective, there is one way to 'salvation' and survival for humanity. It will not happen through any one person, but by individual surrender to the True Self, the cosmos of consciousness, and knowing it as self-identity. To me, that means in part to uplift my actions to be more from love. But, I feel that human love as we have known it will not suffice. It will take the love for love itself, the divine love of the True Self. Such love cannot come from the 'normal' human personality, no matter how saintly, but it can emanate through these human vessels. Neither will this be accomplished by the intellect, like goal setting or habit changing. Those old ways simply won't suffice, either. This will require a shift in identity, and an expansion from limited human awareness to Oneness consciousness. The work for the individual is continual surrender to the True Self. That, for most of us, is real work. Increasingly embodied oneness consciousness, individually and collectively, is the salvation of humanity. Of course, that is my perspective, and not meant to be pushed on anyone else. Comments are invited.... COMMENTS Kati Smith Yes, what you have written is exactly my experience. Some words are triggers for some people. Salvation has religious connotations for some. But, it is associated with the word atonement, which comes from at-one-ment. It is all in how one looks at it. My post question came from another post, which referred to the savior character of Neo in the Matrix. Salvation also means saving from harm or destruction. It is a different course for humankind. All the comments have been helpful towards expanding my awareness. 🙏
