My quest from childhood until now has been the same, just variously expressed: to know God, to feel one with the Universe, to contribute to spiritual evolution, to live from expansive consciousness. The methods and modalities to assist in this type of quest are endless, with new ones developed continually. Books and workshops, meditations and techniques have inspired insights, but none with full satisfaction. Looking back over 68 years, I see many stepping stones and connecting points which form my story. All of it reveals itself as an unfolding of a beautiful mystery, self-sufficient in meaning and purpose. This post is a slice from the story. Its' voice alternates between Observer and Experiencer, two aspects of One Being. Q: How can I align constantly with Source, the One Being I am -- and feel the alignment? Alignment is aliveness, all else is flatline. Q: How can I effectively release stuck energy center blockages? Blockages impede my toroidal energy field, hindering flow. Low flow means more stress, and less felt alignment. Q: How can I shift from emotional resistance to deep acceptance and witness consciousness? Emotional resistance and resulting stored pain can be a root cause of blockages. *** Pondering these questions, an understanding arose. Even a partial and incomplete understanding can be a place to start, and here's what came to me about the underlying workings: Unbounded waves of consciousness are bound for a lifetime with particles of energies compressed into a sensory experience body. Together they coexist as aspects of the One Being in divine duality. This describes well how it feels to me, as an unbounded being compacted into a compressed energy body. Waves of Unbounded Self constitute the eternal aspect of temporal particle human experience -- waves of awareness behind the writer, noticing his thoughts, emotions, actions and experiences. His world is experienced through the input and output of energies in a toroidal storm of sensory collection around his consciousness center, interpreted by his story of persona. When I put focus on this, the torus sphere encompassing my body feels very real. I feel the energies in-flowing and out-flowing, and the sense of toroidal dissonance when there is imbalance or overwhelm. A reader commented, "Wren the Torus sphere is flowing unimpeded, it is such a feeling of rightness as to be bliss." She keeps a journal of 'energy experiences' and feels guided to just Experience the event as it's happening by "becoming the energy". Then, she wrote, "I AM that brilliant Light". For me, the wave state of existence, with its quantum entanglements and non-locality, seems mysterious to my particle mind ruled by time and space. I have learned to be okay with not knowing, and just appreciate the beauty of mystery. The architecture of my brain processes the energy storm into a sense of order, but I sometimes experience disturbances of energies, as pain or uncomfortable emotions (energies in motion) -- due, it seems, to either blockages in my energy centers, the story of persona, or cognitive dissonance. Whereas masculine polarizations attempt to manage the discomfort of these in-between states with logic and reason (slower and less effectual) the feminine tends to let them pass through as emotional weather (faster, more effectual, but stormy). To fully feel alignment with Source continually, there needs be a free flow of energy in the body, which means no blockages, and a coherent toroidal field. Higher vibrational awareness supports Source alignment. I feel differently when focusing my attention (tight, concentrated, bordered) or relaxing it like at the River yesterday (expansive, flowing, integrated.) Maybe it is all how the attention is focused. There is experiencer focus, and Observer focus. Sometimes the awareness of I Am gets clouded by the turbulence that comes with fragments of forgotten pain. The writer has to let go of resistance to accept the initiation that awaits him in the dark abyss. Here in the darkness there is the choice, the desire to long for the light divine. With that desire he isn’t giving in to be the victim and rises from the ashes of the fire of awakening that burns away the suffering. Step by step, initiation by initiation he claims his power and with grace returns to the dark, holding the candle of compassion. Holding the balance of focus and unfocus, of Source and individuality, of chaos and order, ebb and flow, stillness and motion. And in that balance, there is a view of his story of persona from the perspective of the Observer, with compassion. *** To answer the opening questions, these overlap and work together: Q: How can I align constantly with Source, the One Being I Am? Mantra: "I am aware of being Aware." • As the experiencer unfocuses to expansive consciousness, he aligns with and becomes the Observer -- the awareness behind the writer, noticing his thoughts, emotions and actions. • Yet attention is easily distracted and diverted, and he becomes the experiencer again. • To align with Source is to continually adjust focus of awareness between Observer and Experiencer, and maintain an unimpeded and balanced toroidal energy field sphere. Q: How can I release stuck energy center blockages? Mantra: "I let the world be the world." • Let go of attachment, resistance, and control. • Be okay with the pain. Deal with it, but don't fight it. • No defending the story of persona, no judging, criticizing, or complaining.... • Lighten up on the importance of things. When the writer is unfocused to expansive consciousness, and non-resistant towards the world, blockages are released and energy centers opened, including the heart. Q: How can I shift from emotional resistance to deep acceptance and witness consciousness? Mantra: "I am aware of being the world" or "I experience the event by becoming the energy." • Feel the torus of energies around me, the input and output, the situations and circumstances — and my interpretation of and response to them. • Accept full responsibility for my experience of life, and be a sovereign being. - G. Each of us has meaning and we bring it to life. It is a waste to be asking the question when you are the answer.”― Joseph Campbell “We must be willing to let go of the life we planned so as to have the life that is waiting for us.” “The cave you fear to enter holds the treasure you seek.” “If you do follow your bliss you put yourself on a kind of track that has been there all the while, waiting for you, and the life that you ought to be living is the one you are living. Follow your bliss and don't be afraid, and doors will open where you didn't know they were going to be.” “People say that what we’re all seeking is a meaning for life. I don’t think that’s what we’re really seeking. I think that what we’re seeking is an experience of being alive, so that our life experiences on the purely physical plane will have resonances with our own innermost being and reality, so that we actually feel the rapture of being alive.” ― Joseph Campbell, The Power of Myth “Follow your bliss and the universe will open doors for you where there were only walls.” “The privilege of a lifetime is being who you are.” ― Joseph Campbell, A Joseph Campbell Companion: Reflections on the Art of Living “If you can see your path laid out in front of you step by step, you know it's not your path. Your own path you make with every step you take. That's why it's your path.” “Sit in a room and read--and read and read. And read the right books by the right people. Your mind is brought onto that level, and you have a nice, mild, slow-burning rapture all the time.” ― Joseph Campbell, The Power of Myth “Find a place inside where there's joy, and the joy will burn out the pain.” “If the path before you is clear, you're probably on someone else's.” “Your sacred space is where you can find yourself over and over again.” “The goal of life is to make your heartbeat match the beat of the universe, to match your nature with Nature.” “If you are falling....dive.” “You must give up the life you planned in order to have the life that is waiting for you.” “Life is like arriving late for a movie, having to figure out what was going on without bothering everybody with a lot of questions, and then being unexpectedly called away before you find out how it ends.” ― Joseph Campbell, Creative Mythology “Myths are public dreams, dreams are private myths.” “Follow your bliss. If you do follow your bliss, you put yourself on a kind of track that has been there all the while waiting for you, and the life you ought to be living is the one you are living. When you can see that, you begin to meet people who are in the field of your bliss, and they open the doors to you. I say, follow your bliss and don't be afraid, and doors will open where you didn't know they were going to be. If you follow your bliss, doors will open for you that wouldn't have opened for anyone else.” ― Joseph Campbell “All the gods, all the heavens, all the hells, are within you.” “We're not on our journey to save the world but to save ourselves. But in doing that you save the world. The influence of a vital person vitalizes.” “All religions are true but none are literal.” “Half the people in the world think that the metaphors of their religious traditions, for example, are facts. And the other half contends that they are not facts at all. As a result we have people who consider themselves believers because they accept metaphors as facts, and we have others who classify themselves as atheists because they think religious metaphors are lies.” ― Joseph Campbell, Thou Art That: Transforming Religious Metaphor “Myth is much more important and true than history. History is just journalism and you know how reliable that is.” “The Hero Path We have not even to risk the adventure alone for the heroes of all time have gone before us. The labyrinth is thoroughly known ... we have only to follow the thread of the hero path. And where we had thought to find an abomination we shall find a God. And where we had thought to slay another we shall slay ourselves. Where we had thought to travel outwards we shall come to the center of our own existence. And where we had thought to be alone we shall be with all the world.” ― Joseph Campbell “Regrets are illuminations come too late.” ― Joseph Campbell, The Hero with a Thousand Faces “Where you stumble and fall, there you will find gold.” “A bit of advice Given to a young Native American At the time of his initiation: As you go the way of life, You will see a great chasm. Jump. It is not as wide as you think.” ― Joseph Campbell “You enter the forest at the darkest point, where there is no path. Where there is a way or path, it is someone else's path. You are not on your own path. If you follow someone else's way, you are not going to realize your potential.” ― Joseph Campbell, The Hero's Journey: Joseph Campbell on His Life & Work “We're so engaged in doing things to achieve purposes of outer value that we forget the inner value, the rapture that is associated with being alive, is what it is all about.” ― Joseph Campbell, The Power of Myth “As you proceed through life, following your own path, birds will shit on you. Don't bother to brush it off. Getting a comedic view of your situation gives you spiritual distance. Having a sense of humor saves you.” ― Joseph Campbell
