BALANCE ON A TIGHTROPE

Continuing from FULL-FED FOR ASCENSION, LOVE FOR LOVE ITSELF,

Anything can become imbalanced. When are the scales balanced? When the weights are equal.

But, scales as a metaphor are static, and balances in life are dynamic — more like walking a tightrope. What is balanced for one step may not be for the next.

Also, what is balance for one person in a stage of their life may not be balance for another person or another stage.

For example, in a stage of my writing, it was weighted to the abstract and conceptual. It didn't feel out of balance to me at the time because I recognized it as a stage to go through, although to others it may have seemed imbalanced, aloof, or egotistical. If I'd stayed stuck in abstract conceptual writing and living, it would surely have become imbalanced for me.

I have learned and am still learning not to judge what is balanced (or not) on another person's journey, as the part of me that would judge does not have the whole view, ever.

Judgment is not always all bad or imbalanced. It can help the one judged see themselves more honestly, and gives an opportunity to extend compassion... towards themselves and the 'other'. However, when judging divides, it cannot serve Unity.

A contemplative lifestyle helps one to make such choices as seeing themselves more honestly. Not all feel supported by their environment or circumstances to live contemplatively, so it may come in little steps.

For example, when acknowledging that I am Source is too abstract or far away for me, I can start by accepting, valuing, and loving myself as I am.

Recognizing that all is diversity, and an expression of Source, allows my heart to open and fills it with joy.

The Creator-Created dynamic is potentially a love relationship, the ultimate soul mates, Self-love in its highest form, which I express inadequately with these words, 'I am Source, having a human experience, guided and motivated by my love for Love Itself.'

Each step on the tightrope made, and each fall recovered from, gives Source a human experience, and nothing is lost.

Still, as my life journey with its free will choices is a gift granted me, I choose to bring more balance to it on all levels.

One of those levels is in my writing, which reflects other aspects of me such as my current state of mind and being. I choose to bring balance to the abstract conceptual by bringing out more of the practical and devotional. The choice is not driven by a desire to write, but to live, more practically and devotionally.

Nothing needs to be abandoned altogether and forever. It is my intention though to de-emphasize intellect, reasoning and rationality and raise my awareness of heart opening and devotional living in each moment. I apply my whole humanness — mind, body and soul, to that intention.
