Full-Fed for Ascension: Gary's Ponderings

From the same clouds fall countless starflakes,
each unique yet each (in some way) the same --
composed of and made from crystalline water,
in design no two alike.

So each person journeys through life on their own unique path, within our common human experience. Ultimately, each of us paves our own way.

​Water seeks its own level, illustrating how I envision ongoing human ascension to look through the cosmic cycles. Of course, I have no clue what will actually happen at ascension and finally let go of concepts to accept what is as the mystery unfolds. I am convinced ascension is a shift in perception. But there could also be changes in underlying vibrational patterns, and towards those a resonance amongst the ascending.

While it is true that in hydroponics water rises rather than falls, and Archimedes developed a screw to move the water uphill, even when man uses technology to modify what Nature would do on its own, the water is still finding its own level. Those mechanisms cause water to overcome its tendency to follow the pull of gravity but even in Nature, water is pulled upwards to nourish plants and trees.

So the analogy could be stretched to say that even with apparent counteractions, the individual human essence finds its own level through the densities and dimensions of ascension. Some water seeps into deep underground rivers while some ascends into the clouds, and one is not better than the other because they both are an experience within the whole.

It is one's experience of life that ascends (or transcends its former state), as awareness expands to the whole or undifferentiated existence. Metaphors tend to break down, yet further understanding may be gained by realizing that for the starflake, its dissolution to water and descent to an underground River can still be called ascension.

​There is no objectively upward movement, only transcending a former state, gaining experience, expanding awareness and experiencing the enlightenment of integrity to the authentic design, to wholeness.

A dear friend wrote, 'In a true experience of wholeness, the persona resolves into it. In the felt sensation of home, there is peace which passes understanding, mixed with the freedom of unbounded consciousness, infused with joyful love. That home is my essence.'

Whatever terms a person uses, what matters is the resonance with peace, love, freedom and joy. Aligning my actions with the feeling of true belonging includes facing my shadows.

There are many mantras, teachings and techniques for aligning. On my quest for a single, simple, effective way to keep re-focusing on resonance and alignment, I have come to this:

​'I am Source, having a human experience, guided and motivated by my love for Love Itself'.

''My love for Love Itself' is experienced as a relationship between my persona (with its free will choice) — and the cosmos of consciousness. It is the stillness in the midst of the storm and the ground of Being in the tumult of the World.

Certainly it can be challenging to not get confused by the exclusive and separating cultural voices of our society, the World. As the old structures topple so the New Earth can emerge, I find in the space of an ordinary, simple life the solace to do my most essential work... which is examining the content of my mind with the light of expanding awareness.

In the light of expanding awareness, the energies, thoughts and emotions of fear — such as blame, cynicism, defense, guilt, greed, and judgment — cannot persist.

A fitting metaphor of the old dissolving so the new can emerge is the caterpillar in its cocoon or chrysalis. In that space, the caterpillar actually dissolves into liquid and is reformed into its next stage of life, the butterfly or moth. Interestingly, the caterpillar must be in a 'ripened' condition called full-fed before spinning, or there will be insufficient matter to re-create it into a winged being. So by my inner work I am ripened before transforming with the support of ascension energies.
