Reaching for and Reposing in the Fullness — A Recap of Week 35, 2021

During the night of August 16/17, in a dream I heard the words, 'As the roots, reality. What are my roots? Being. What is Being? Awareness I exist.'

Today, August 31, I read in 'A New New Testament: A Bible for the Twenty-first Century Combining Traditional and Newly Discovered Texts' (newly discovered, from the Christ movement of the first and second centuries) and typed these excerpts from the book titled 'The Gospel of Truth'. Some of the text relates to the roots.

10:9-13
He has filled need and dissolved appearance — the appearance of need is the world in which he served.

For the place where there is envy and struggle is in need, but the place where there is oneness is full.

Since need came into being because the Father was not known, when the Father is known, from that moment on, need will not exist.

As ignorance dissolves when one gains knowledge of another and darkness dissolves when the light appears, so too need dissolves in fullness.

So from that moment on appearance is no longer manifest, but dissolved in union with oneness.

11:1-2
Now their works lie scattered, but in time oneness will make their places full.

In oneness all will return to themselves, within knowledge purifying themselves from multiplicity into oneness, devouring matter within themselves like fire, and darkness by light, death by life.

If indeed these things have happened to each one of us, it is necessary for us to think about all thingsso that this house might be holy and tranquil in oneness.

20:14-18
So fullness — which has no need but fills need — gives from itself to fill each person's need so that she might receive grace.

When one was in need she had no grace.

Because of this, a contracting happens in the place where there was no grace.

When that which was contracted was received, it was revealed that the one in need was fullness.

This is the discovery of the light of truth which rose upon one like this — that it is unchanging.

21:11-14
Since they were in the depths of his thought, the Word — which was the first to come forth — revealed them along with mind, which speaks the one Word in silent grace.

It was called "thought" since they dwelled in it before being revealed.

It happened that he (Christ the Anointed One) was first to come forth when the desire of the one who desired willed it.

And desire is what the Father rests in and what pleases him.

22:1
Nothing happens without him nor does anything happen without the Father's desire, but his desire is incomprehensible.

26:1-5
The Place of Fullness and Rest

Each one will speak about the place he came from and will hasten to return again to the place he was made to stand, and to taste from that place, receiving nourishment and growth.

This place of rest is his fullness. All the Father's bounties are fullnesses — the root of his bounty is in the one who caused all of them to grow from within himself. He gave them their destinies.

Each one appears so that through her own thought they might be filled. For the place to which they send their thought — that place is the root, which takes them above all the heights to the Father.

27:1-2
This is the way of those who hold something of the immeasurable greatness from above. They stretch toward the full one alone, who is a Mother for them.

27:4-10
They do not have death in themselves, but they rest in the one who rests.

They are not troubled or twisted around the truth, but they are truth.

And the Father is within them and they are in the Father. They are full and undivided from the one who is truly good.

They need nothing at all, but they are at rest, fresh in spirit, and will listen to their root.

They will concern themselves with those things in which they will find their root and not suffer loss to their souls.

This is the place of the blessed. This is their place....

A comment on my previous post referred me to 'the ancient Teachings of the Ishayas, an ancient Order of monks who were entrusted by the Apostle John to preserve the original teachings of Christ until the third millennium.'

According to a book description, 'The Ishayas hold that the original teachings of Jesus were not a belief system at all, rather a mechanical series of techniques to transform human life into a constant perception of the perfection within the human heart.

'Real expansion of consciousness occurs only through direct, personal experience. Ascension! is an invitation to awaken to the innermost Reality of your wonderful, exalted soul.'

Well, the book is on order, and we'll see.

Playing ocarina has become a way for me to sense and improve my psychospiritual state, as the cleanest notes and flow are hit when I am relaxed, breathing deeply, aligning my spine, and in a relationship of presence with the instrument. Assessing my state when not with the ocarina is assisted by asking myself such questions as 'am I relaxed?', 'am I inclusive?', and 'am I expanded'?

Most essential to me is felt connection (reaching for, and reposing, in the fullness where there is no need) — within my psyche-spirit, in relationship with 'others', and extending to the AllThatIs. Felt connection happens over being heart-centered, in the flow, and radiating presence.

Also 'heard' in Spirit recently was, 'Let go of the brain and live from the sphere. The Sphere of Light is a well-developed soul.'

I think the emphasis on the abyss, the great chasm and priests, is so that Christianity can guarantee its survival. It's a social institution that wants to perpetuate itself just like any other business. People need a savior and there's no savior without salvation which Christianity provides. The church's emphasis on shame and guilt makes itself needed because all of us, at one time or another, have felt shame and guilt. What you have quoted from those early Gnostic Christian writings threatened what became the church and so it wanted those books destroyed! The early church has almost succeeded in burying Gnosticism but we are finding its books and resurrecting them.

I played harmonica today for the first time in a long time ... and once years ago had small but finely crafted ocarina.

Resonance ... reverb ... melody and meter ...

Someone nearby in my neighborhood had an afternoon garden party / gathering with a live band playing classic pop covers and I sat at some distance by the steps of a former school where the acoustics reflected both the band across the way and my own accompaniment (a sort of natural mixer / monitor scenario) as I noodled along in my own way.

Wow, beautiful words, Gary R. Smith! As an energy healer, your message truly resonates with me. I've worked quite a little with many frequencies, particularly the Solfeggio tones. In reading, I've come across the 440 A versus the 432 A. I'm not familiar enough with it to pick it out by ear. However, I know from working with various frequencies, there is tremendous power within them. Also as a healer, I've had experiences that, yes, we are truly one: people, animals, trees, stones, earth. The early Christ movement does indeed hold much more truth for me as well. Finally, yes indeed, our true natures are light. I've seen it. Our physical bodies are merely a cloak. Thank-you for sharing!
