A Recap of Week 30, 2021
This is what came up in my life the past week.
Depending on how a person chooses to interpret ancient texts and modern events, correlations could be found between Biblical prophecies and the times we live in. Scholars differ on their interpretations, and I feel more than one could be true.
For example, the original books of the Revelations of John from the early centuries A.D. may have been regarding the domination of the Roman Empire, and the times they were written in. The same writings *could* also apply to the current world domination agenda and what some call the 'end times.' It doesn't have to be one or the other and can be both....
The writer(s) of those revelations apparently had intensive mystical, allegorical visions. I love how the secret book of Revelations from previously hidden texts brings out the cosmic Christ and the Divine feminine. Like many, I feel a deep 'inner' connection with those early years of the Christ movement on earth. There is a sense of having lived in those times that still feels present to me. The Christ community living then seems applicable to conscious communities forming today.
They were harsh, turbulent times 2000 years ago, and I get a sense of the same kind of socially dominating and controlling energies returning in these days. Exploring divisive speculation about hidden agendas for world domination can be mentally stimulating yet personally disturbing. The key 🔑 for me is to always return to integrative, authentic heart-centered awareness.
I like to observe with neutrality, and listen from the heart. It's not always easy to stay neutral, and I am intrigued to see how events unfold still in my lifetime.
A NEW NEW TESTAMENT
There are twenty-seven books in the traditional New Testament, but the earliest Christian communities were far more vibrant than that small number might lead you to think.
In fact, many more scriptures were written and were just as important as the New Testament in shaping early-Christian communities and beliefs.
Over the past century, many of those texts that were lost have been found and translated, yet are still not known to much of the public; they are discussed mainly by scholars or within a context of the now outdated notion of gnostic gospels.
While reading 'A New New Testament: A Bible for the Twenty-first Century Combining Traditional and Newly Discovered Texts', it is apparent to me (and others) that the council which decided the popular canon of scripture also had a hidden agenda by omitting texts which present a very different perspective (without judging motives). The omitted texts would undermine their patriarchal control and empower the layperson.
An old love returns as I gain a more informed and balanced sense of the Christ movement of the first centuries A.D.
There is something about the New Testament community, over-shadowed by the Roman Empire, which speaks to me about our dispersed, virtual communities today and the dynamics between spiritual awakening and increasing societal oppression — especially in the light of the previously hidden manuscripts.
STARADIGM by Pao L. Chang
When I wrote to Pao Chang in 2017 for permission to reprint excerpts from his book 'Staradigm', he gave it, for my purpose of blog posts. I've had no contact with Pao Chang since four years ago, and back then I published ten blog posts comprising most of his book.
This week, a website visitor wrote over the contact form, asking for any information about 'Staradigm'. That inspired me to return to the buried posts and reformat the extensive excerpts into a PDF. I do this without remuneration due to the times we are living in, and because of the help which 'Staradigm' can give to people. The PDF is meant to be kept intact, unchanged, and shared freely. It can be downloaded from the link at the end of this post.
A songbook ('Ocarina goes Classical: 50 Melodies of the Great Masters' by Lena Eckhoff) has expanded my repertoire from only Christmas songs to include tunes from classical music. It's a hoot to toot some resemblance of such sophisticated-sounding compositions as:
Ah, vous dirai-je, maman (Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart)
Choral fantasy (Ludwig van Beethoven)
Finlandia (Jean Sibelius)
Jesu, joy of man’s desiring (Johann Sebastian Bach)
The ocarina, a sweet potato shaped flute with a 50,000 year history, has become more than a musical instrument to me. To produce the clearest tones, I must be more relaxed. Tootling on the flute shifts me from over-thinking to, at times, feeling the melodies play through me — and even glimpsing the player and played as one.
MANTRAS as Everyday Reminders
(Meant for me, and for this week, not as a 'teaching' -- just to share so it can go wherever it may be useful.)
• Heart-centered awareness
• Neutral eyes
• I am Source, having a human experience.
• I integrate everything.
• I accept you as you are.
• I accept me as I am.
• However differing our perspectives may be, they are always equally valid.
• There is only Now.
• In the continuum, there is no separation.
• What is intuition telling me?
Who I was does not 'talk me out of who I'm becoming'. Memories and linear illusions make an apparent separation between who I was, who I am, and who I will be. In the continuum, there is no separation.
Years ago, I had a naive and innocent love for the Jesus figure of the Bible as I perceived him. When my worldview collapsed under the weight of events, my heart turned bitter. This week integrated aspects of my past, expanded awareness of who I am now, and created a foundation for who I am becoming as a psychospiritual being in the realm of time and space.

Feedback is appreciated. Thank you for reading.
